Definitely better than episode 2 in my opinion. Harima gets back to his badass self. "Miko-chan" at the end was hilarious and opens up a lot of avenues for the show to explore. I still wish that Eri did more though, she really hasn't done anything in these 3 episodes so far.

I seriously enjoyed this episode. Far more than episode 2, as well. Which is odd, because they were basically the same type of humour. I think what worked best for this episode was its absolute breakneck speed. I suppose SR's comedy is probably best when it goes to the extreme, as it did here. And some very subtle relationship development (Miko-chaaan) gets my thumbs up as well.
Highly enjoyable episode.

Seen episode 03, and I saw similarly as Sorrow-K. Also thought it was more amusing than last episode, because it was significantly more overboard (to the point of satirical) than last episode. The scene with the Hanai's "Miko-chan!!!", the Tenma's "NOOOOOOO!!!" (along with the convienient onset of that dramatic music playing), and Hanai's "Harima!!!" had me grinning. And the fact that the whole thing was an action movie rendition further supports the sardonic and over-the-top feel of the 2nd half of the battle. I liked that final scene with the autumn leaves falling where Tenma and Karasuma-kun communicated earnestly with each other. There is something admirable and pure about that atmosphere, complimented by the music, and avoided cheesiness. I think it's these frank and honest scenes that balance SR, counterpart to its comedic aspect: little bits of understandings in SR's general mess of confusion.

Better then last time, more so because it was going somewhere, last time it was like they were showing bit and parts of everyone but he it was a bit more soild in a way they were telling the story.
Like everyone else, I just loved the "Miko-chan!!!!!!!!" Scene. Yep I'll remember it for a long time I thought a few moments with the animation, could of been a bit better, but still I loved it. The humor was great, and it was a quite funny to see tenma put a gun to her head ^^; you wouldn't see such a thing in any other show. |

This was probably the funniest SR episode I've seen out of both seasons. Nakamura was badass, and all that melodrama. MATTE!!! HARIMA!!!!!!
And that frame of Harima grinning evilly before the shot. I was almost on the floor. MIKO-CHAAAAN!!! Voice acting was top-notch, totally fitting, and while the animation quality wasn't really up to par with the action, I still enjoyed it. Now I can't wait for "the duel" to be animated.

School Rumble just gets better and better. The whole survival game was just so great... I just hope there won't be a let down... It would be so awesome if they can be on par or even top this in the future.
What I notice in the end here is that Tenma and Karasuma are both developing their relationship. Karasuma actually showed interest and feelings towards Tenma, instead of just curry. That leads Harima out of the picture. I am pretty sure (well, hoping at least) once Harima realizes this and acknowledges the fact that Temna and Karasuma have feelings for each other, he will move on. I hope he starts realizing how great Yakumo truly is, and starts showing some true interest in her. It doesn't look like she minds either, from her responses to Tenma lecture in episode 1. Eri is my second favorite character in SR, so a love triangle with those 3 would be great. As for Hanai and "Miko-chan!!!!" it looks like there is definitely some progression there. He doesn't look like he was devastated that people thought he liked Mikota instead of Yakumo (unlike how Harima was devastated when Tenma thought he liked Yakumo). I hope Hanai the best with Mikoto and stay away from Yakumo. She doesn't like him. He should get a clue. This is definitely one of the greatest love comedies around.

I quite agree with El_Capitano.
A good episode, better than the previous, but can't beat the sport festival from season 1. Anyway, why has no one evoqued the Itoko/Nakamura pairing? It would be interesting, especially with a Harima/Sawachika relation aside ? Will it be a "good" reason for Eri to invite herself into Harima's room ... and discover him with Yakumo ! Another incoming chaos ... for our only pleasure !
