Good luck Yamato. Can only pray that next week she really ups the forwardness to get through to Takeo that she doesn't like Suna.
Props to Suna for being pretty helpful. It'd be nice if he was helpful to the point of just telling Takeo bluntly what the situation is, but he did try to give them moments alone. Solid episode though.

The show continues to be so sweet I think I'll need to start brushing my teeth after watching an episode. But it's really cute. And Takeo, you're so, so dense.
He kind of looks like every blond high-school shoujo romance lead pretty boy ever. With the possible exception of Takeo (and the Goudas) the art here is not exactly unique or original, not that it particularly matters. Last edited by Flower; 2015-04-16 at 23:20. Reason: Removed hinting material |

Decent episode but to be honest I feel like the current situation with the trio has already reached its expiry date. I hope it moves on from this routine sooner rather than later.
Unfortunately, I'm not liking Takeo as much as I'd like to. I get that his weird antics are supposed to be amusing and thus give him a certain charm but maybe the jokes are lacking in comedic timing or something because I'm just not feeling it at all. I can't really put my finger on it though.

Will say Suna is a darn good friend. Trying to help out Takeo and Yamato by giving them time alone, and coming back to help his friend out of a dangerous situation.

Barely one minute in on the episode and already there's the good morning text, for god sakes Takeo, if that doesn't clue you into the girl's feelings then you surely are made of osmium
9mins in edit: Even more girly-flirty texts! Come man, there's no way you're that dense! I think I'm about to develop social anxiety just from watching Takeo, his awkwardness is pouring right out of the screen and making me feel embarrased

Just saw this anime. Well all I can say is never judge a book by it's cover. Takeo may look like the generic muscle student, but damn he has a lot of character and he's likeable from the get go. Suna as a friend is really great, they're polar opposites, but it really works. When we finally see a girl that likes Takeo he's just being so dense because all his young life it's always Suna that gets the girls attention, hoping on later episodes Takeo will see that Yamato really likes him, wonder if there are other girls that secretly likes Takeo? Who knows? I don't read the manga, but the anime got me pumped, added to my weekly episode watch.
episode 1 gets a 10/10 form me.

And to top it all off, when she finally works up the courage to ask him to come alone, guy thinks that "she's finally ready to ask for advice with her relationship" for fucks sakes!

Another cute episode, but the frustration level is going sky high. Takeo really needs to get a clue, or at least ask the relevant people questions directly.
Actually, Yamato reminds me of a non-devious version of Sumire from Chihayafuru, who coincidentally is also voiced by Megumi Han. Or more like, Sumire tries to act like Yamato, except she is going for the ogre instead of the handsome model. And yes, Suna is almost a carbon copy of Taichi, except Suna has not done anything devious to his childhood guy buddy yet. Suna is quite the mystery, though. I really don't know all his feelings and motivations. He says he is interested in girls, but they are a pain. So does this mean he wants a girl that can take care of herself and not bother him to much? That does kind of sound like a non-relationship. He definitely knows Takeo likes Yamato, and he probably figured out that Yamato also likes Takeo. The question is, where is his feelings in all of this?

Episode 2:
Oh shit, Takeo is so stron- Forget it, Rinko-chan is too stronk! Still, I gonna give props to Gouda-kun for lifting that beam with all his might! Still, I think he's not aware that Rinko's eyes is set on him, not on Sunakawa-kun like any other girl would do. |

I believe Suna would like a girl not attracted to him just because of his look, for what we've seen he's liked by all girls/women even if they don't know him. This probably has led him to create a shield as protection from any unwanted interactions with the opposite gender. Whether there's a past trauma behind this or not, we'll see.
Takeo is so dense because after a life where the same occurrences repeated over and over, he just can't fathom the idea that things are different this time. Therefore the "misunderstanding", but now the joke is trite and I'm sure it'll be solved soon.

Ep 02
I must admit I have been laughing as I go over the posts for the second episide. Most everyone is throwing their hands up in the air and yelling GAHHHHH! while chuckling at the situation and loving every minute of it. I am in the same boat, of course. But there is an element of believability in this series that I like. Takeo, Megumi and Suna thus far are all pretty endearing (and in that order) - I fimd myself wanting to cheer them on! Though yeah...Suna is also rather...poker faced and mysterious. Although I gotta admit my jaw dropped with Takeo holding up the falling beam. Talk about inhuman physical strength. Man.

The thing I find funny was when Takeo was bugging Suna what his type is, and Suna kept on deflecting the question. Then later, Suna describes perfectly Takeo's type , as if he know's everything about Takeo. I swear, if Suna was a girl, all these would be signs of her liking Takeo romantically. XD
And oh boy, if a steel beam fell like that in the US, I bet there would tons of litigations left and right. So I find it funny that in Japan (or at least in this series), no harm no foul.
