No matter what type of grid you use. You need at least a couple of their weapons if you want to optimize the grid.

Especially DAO's Cortana. Even for a stanard dark magna grid, you want at least two Old Cortana to maintain your out put.

Same for Athena's spear. You need something to maintain your high MA rate when you tackle more high end content.

My impression is that you only need those if you're trying to build the "optimum" grid. I'm content with just a "good enough" grid for everything except Wind. For example for dark I'm building a 3-axe 3-claw grid. For light I'm doing a 4-gun 2-sword build.

Maybe once I've mastered all the classes and FLB'd all my weapons I'll think about spending some renown/prestige on those fancy weapons, but not right now.

Wouldn't it be a waste of time to FLB all your weapons, then removing them from your grid to put in some better weapons?

It would indeed, which is why I don't seriously intend to do it but will only do so for such weapons as manage to drop while I'm farming urns/mats for FLBing. For example if an Olivia HL drops an Olden Cortana while I'm farming dark urns, then instead of FLBing an axe I'll replace it with the Cortana. I won't go out of my way to farm weapon drops that supposedly have a droprate on par with Chev swords.

I think I should also hold off on FLBing this Pinya dagger and see if Xeno Cocytus is announced next month.

Or just plan ahead.
For example,only FLB your Celeste Claw. As eventually an enmity build well be better than standard axe build. So there is no need to FLB the axe.
Instead slowly replace your axes with Old Cortana as you collect more claws.

Good point. I only have 0* everything in Dark anyway so no rush.
Anyway, my point is I'm not that interested in the perfect grid for every single element. I'm not one of those people crying because I can't outrace Hades Whalelords. It's enough for me if I can MVP any raids I start and complete events without too much trouble. I play to relax.

It seems Kaguya's auto-resurrection buff can be cleared by Celeste's Bizarre Fog. I just found that out the hard way.

You got it backwards: it isn't like Kaguya's buff is anything special. Rather, the fog (and any dispel for that matter) nullify any buff, except very unique ones, like the "remains at 1HP if they take a lethal hit" conditions and special cases like Siegfriend's Manigence or Zoey's drain.

Honestly, Kaguya's aura more often than not delays the inevitable instead of really helping you. If something's going to kill me to where I need to auto-revive, odds are it's strong enough to mess up my day regardless. That's generally why I pick supports to kill things ASAP

Anyway, my main classes are Dark Fencer, Holy Saber, and Valkyrie, in that descending order of priority. The only Row III I have yet to unlock are Weapon Master, Bishop, Hawkeye, Ogre, and Superstar; which of these should I prioritize for subskills based on what my main classes are?

Bishop > Weapon master > Hawkeye > Ogre > Superstar in term of EX skills.
In term of class themselves: Superstar >= Weapon Master > Hawkeye > Bishop > Ogre. YMMV depending of your needs.

Same here. I only pick Kaguya/White Rabbit when I'm leeching during magnafest. Usually the enemy dies before death and revival becomes an issue, but sometimes the bosses just won't play nice.

Most of the time you'll be using Dark Fencer for solo content, Hawkeye for farming and leeching and Bishop and Holy Saber for large raids. As long as you have those, it doesn't take that long to master other classes so just unlock them in any order you want.

So we're coming up on the next GW, and shortly after that starts I'll have gotten enough blue sky crystals to get a second GW character. Problem is, I'm not sure which one I want, and I want to choose carefully because it'll be a while before I build up all the materials again for the other GW character. I know I want one of the two earth characters to bolster my earth party, so Threo/Sarasa or Octo/Eahta. Synergy with the other characters in the party is always important and these are the SSR characters I have. (A few additions since I posted this last)

There is no "good" choice in that given context. Either you want burst or ougi gauge management, and you have practically every earth chars that matter so it is really up to preferences.

Depends on what you need.
8 is the ougi gauge management specialist, but super button heavy so he is bad at racing for MVP. You also don't have the characters that he has the best synergy with. (Mahira, Eustace).
3 on the other hand just hits very hard. And if you are going for the high end Earth Enmity set up, she and Ayre together will give you the highest earth team output.
