Manga 'Kuutei Dragons' (Drifting Dragons) is getting a TV anime adaptation.

Plot Summary

It's time to see what dragon tastes like.
The crew of the airship Queen Zaza makes their living hunting dragons. Succeed, and the reward is riches and all the meat they can eat! Fail, and all that awaits them is a messy end.

A teaser PV for the “Drifting Dragons” anime is now currently streaming. The new series from Polygon Pictures will premiere on Fuji TV’s +Ultra programming lineup in January 2020; as well as distributed via Netflix.

looks amazing. i am glad there is a medium for compelling storytelling and since 2d has become just for degenerate type shows, cgi is bringing back interesting anime. this reminds me of the 80s boom all over again.

I support the use of 3D CGI in anime, but are they ever going to not kneecap the framerates? 3D CGI looks its best when they let its animation advantages shine like having smooth 60 FPS action, instead of slowing it down to make it look like 2D anime.

For some reason they are stubborn about keeping low framerate for anime style cgi shows. It really would be better if framerate was like in more realistic looking cgi movies like Gantz:0 or Advent Children.

I want to pretend like I'm not really looking forward to this because every time I did, I ended up bored on that certain anime after 3 eps or so. Hopefully the cg is as pretty as Beastars.
