It turned out to be pretty interesting.
I was worried that it was just another show that tried to be stupidly funny and failing, but it turned out to be pretty good. The story was good and at the same time, it did what it aimed for with the amount of focus on breasts.

I guess it is unfortunate that Tono/Dono didn't appear much after his episode. From the OP, I thought he would play a bit more of an important role though...

This show was a winner, for two big reasons. Reason the first. The reason why I got into this show to begin with.

Owls. Boobs. I am many things, and a breast man is indeed one of them. It's said that a hint of naked flesh can be more appetizing than actually seeing it, and that was proven here. The censorship didn't detract from the meat of the show at all, since breasts were always in your face, no matter where you walked. There was so little of it that watching the show with or without it isn't a significantly different experience. To some, that might be kind of an uncomfortable position, full of sweat and awkward explanations, but to others, it's paradise.

The second is that, to those who dig their heads between the show's big honking publicity materials, they find something worth pursuing. As a jidai geki show, I'd say it's above average. A world that's like Japan just enough, but also alternate enough that you want to rub it a little more, see how it develops. Even if the show had only one running concept, I was surprised at the multitude of ways it was able to be expressed. Big breasts, small breasts, swinging breasts, breasts that adhere to a fetish I'm not sure I can say here, and it's one of the best breast expansion shows to ever it the air.

Whether it's because of censorship or concept, I don't know, but this show was almost as ignored as Twin Angel. Yet, I enjoyed it for much of the same reasons. It took itself just seriously enough that it became ridiculous, and when that ridiculousness took itself more seriously, it went up to being thrilling and kind of tense, drawing the viewer in. I came for the boobs (that may have been phrased wrong), but stayed for the story.

But a lot of this wouldn't be possible without our leading ladies. Chifusa and Kaede are second only to Sakurako and Himawari as one of the best couples of the season. They complement each other perfectly, and are well rounded (mostly. Sorry Kaede.) Chifusa's a lovable awkward dork of a hero, and Kaede's pure energy and devotion, while still having her own goals, makes her a great sidekick. They're the Robin Hood and Little John (again, sorry Kaede) of racks. And that is an awesome title to have.

That I can write so much about this show every week is a testament to how good it is. I enjoyed it both for reasons I was expecting to, and reasons I wasn't expecting to. And Kaneko is a master when it comes to sound mixing. Flesh against flesh sounds dirty, but also really captivating. And as long as the sound of thwopping breasts is in his shows, my ears will be ready.

meanwhile kagefusa & ouka wander city while kagefusa have fun.
showing wooden sword battle boom head shot nose bleed down goes kagefusa.
doobi arrow shooting, octopus book, festival, & yea drunken okua (yea we're mamiko noto speaking drunk) till call in cause found chifusa.
chifusa learn the skill to master doobi taking & give.
flashback reveal about chifusa's mom with end up her mom"silence" herself & secret together.
wind blowns & yep here come uh-oh.

chifusa learn the move then kaede having fun with a baby til uh-oh here come chifusa's brother & ouka.
chifusa's brother tell chifusa to surrender but chifusa said no here come attack manyuu team.
chifusa got trouble then little & guess who pull big hero rescue it's kagefusa!!!
yea chifusa & kaede run with baby carrying while rest battle til here come ouka.
chifusa vs ouka after some talk-fight with broke sword out of nowhere hand chop & ouka has grown doobi.
after ouka everyone ok cause kagefusa just beat all manyuu attack squad in a Curb-Stomp Battle Squash beating to make them jobbers.
then going hand chop on kagefusa but nothing happen yea still learning it.
chifusa's brother check on ouka's doobi to see how it power of Chichinagare.
& now chifusa & kaede continue on the journey.

INDEED best season ever now we need s2 & more rejoice on manyuu season.

Are you really? It's a pretty ridiculous concept that would only appeal to an obvious minority. And it doesn't have any "moe" like Qwaser and other high school themed echi that would attract that type of audience. It did pretty decent I'd say.

Hyakka Ryouran SAMURAI GIRLS, the various Ikkitousen and Freezing have all done well recently with a similar concept of fights and big boobs.

None of those have boobs as big as the ones in this series.

A lot of people also have a certain boob threshold. Once breast sizes reach a certain point depending on the person, it becomes a turnoff.

I'm not one of those people, but there is such a thing as too big.

again, all those shows have character types and tropes that will appear to a much wider audience. Manyuu has....the main character and her sidekick, and then usually some random big breasted individual per episode. If you can't get behind the 2 main characters then you really have no reason to like the show. In many other shows of this type including the ones you mentioned, there's a wide variety of chicks, something for everyone.

I think you're comparing it to the wrong types of shows. This is, despite all the chesty trappings, a jidai geki show. It has more in common with Koihime Musou than any of the abovementioned shows.

The tracker http://www.animesuki.com/series.php/1895.html does not appear to list the Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Many%C5%AB_Hiken-ch%C5%8D could they add that?

Kir has put out 1-3 and 4-6 batches for their 720 and 1080 on Nyaa, that could be good on the tracker.

Everything else is individual, so no batches for 7-12 I'm aware of. It'd be nice if someone would batch the whole thing. Any takers?
