^First episode was kinda mediocre tho. It wasn't bad, but I wouldn't exactly call it good either. This was a bit of a slow burn that didn't really get going apart from the giant panda and ouija board scenes. That said, I know it has potential since I am up-to-date with the manga, but this first episode's presentation was so bland that I'm kinda baffled that they can make such a promising premise and quirky characters seem so uninteresting...
Meanwhile, Enen no Shouboutai, Dr. Stone and Vinland Saga all had really strong starts with good-great first episodes imo. They immediately drew your attention from the get-go and set the tone going into the next episode(s). Of the three, the only one whose source I'm not familiar with is Vinland Saga, but I was so intrigued by that first episode that I'm now considering picking up the manga.
Btw, I'm surprised that nobody chose Paca as the best character. I probably get the most overall entertainment from him and the mysteries surrounding him and Akatsuki are easily the main reasons why I'm reading this.
Ps. I ship Akatsuki with Karin. While Yuzu's hella entertaining as a character, I'm (usually) not into yanderes.
