Bunmei is a top level esper, as he showed. He spends awful long time with young Bunmei after he's knocked out

If the show ever continued, we may discover he pulled a Mr. Spock and uploaded his memories into young Bunmei. So young Bunmei has memories and experiences of his older self. They are the same person.

So we'll get a 12 year old kid that is bolder than his adult self but unusually perverted due to remembering he was a horndog 20 something.
