I've been following the scanlations and wasn't really planning on following this series, but the first episode was unexpectedly enjoyable, so I'll continue watching after all. The opening fight scene confused me a bit, but the anime's boost in action is nice. Yay for symmetrical docking OP, nay for lame dancing ED.

this first episode was absolutely hilarious! especially those talks between Akane and her doll over who they sound like...
although the gender bending portion still doesn't sit too well with me, yet.

Having just watched the first episode, I think I'm going to like this one. Good character design, decent action, good humor...and a really well done transformation sequence (I realize that I've just outed my secret mahou shoujo background; honestly though, I only watched, I never inhaled )

atm it seems to be right in between win and fail. im glad the transformation scene wasnt too flashy. it does take a few seconds but there are series that took more time to do so. i hope they do replay that to kill time. i find some stuff animal voice rather weird but i llike their personalities. i havent seen many series where stuffed animals talk and do so in such a rude manner.

thx to so many negative feedback everywhere, i watched this with low expectations and it turned out to be not so bad, if u can stand Asura Cryin u can surely watch this too
Akane is funny, especially the scene she suddenly trnasformed, and all her dirty thoughts Natsuru is a so typical main character, and his voice is unmatch the black long haired girl looks like another Yomi... i think i cant resist charaters like that i will go for eps 2 and will keep watching if the rest of the series can at least keep up like this eps |

"You may be a Kampfer, but you're not a Mobile Suit!"
Oh shi-, they actually did it..... I remembered back when a Kampfer thread came up on IDW. My first response was "Isn't Kampfer the name of a mobile suit in Gundam 0080?"

Yeah the reference truly made me smile. I'd probably be in a bad mood if it wasn't featured in the anime.

I'm wondering... for who has (red-haired) Akane the hots? Natsuru fem. version or is his male version?
I just hope that Natsure doesn't abandon at the end of the series his manhood and decide to keep on being a woman forever. btw: Akane kempfer version really reminds me of Ageha from they're my nobel masters...although i don't understand why. Last edited by Lummie; 2009-10-04 at 12:44. |

I also just watched the first episode today, it was good by my standards. Fairly good animation if you exclude the first few minutes, decent transformation scene, if I dare compare it to the R+V one, it's many times better. I am intrigued by the story, especially as to why kampfers fight...how did Natsuru get chosen and when did his suicidal tiger plushie come to life? Another 23 minutes from my week for anime, yay
