Finished reading volume 7.

And I can see now why it's hard to come up with new volumes.
The series basically look completed.

Overall, the volume and series is nice, but there are holes in quantum mechanics related plot devices. Also the ending of the volume feels a bit rushed.

I think Kamoshida was just busy with Just Because.

Shouko part wraps up nicely, but Kaede's issue and Puberty Syndrome still exist. Having finally finished volume 7, I really, really, REALLY, REALLY enjoyed the entire series. Quite possibly annoyed all my friends and acquaintances with my ridiculous amount of impromptu idiotic comments while reading. Pretty sure my reactions were so stupidly excessive that people put me on ignore for the past few days. I seriously did not anticipate the emotional coaster ride from volume 5 onward and how gratifying the resolution is.

I gave high praises to many LNs but this series is definitely among the top for me. This is drama done right. No stupid misunderstanding, all meaningful and heart-wrenching choices, and no irritating characters among the main or side casts. The quantum stuff is simple enough to understand without going overly complicated. I really hope this go on for another 7 or so volumes. I don't even care if Kamoshida puts out only 1 volume per year. I will follow this for the next decade. I hold this series as the current magnum opus for the light novel "youth" genre.

Eagerly awaits volume 8, which I hope should be soon like sparhawk1610 said (EDIT: Apparently it's for april http://dengekibunko.jp/newreleases/978-4-04-893585-2/).

PS: I really feel sorry for the people who had to wait 4 months between volume 6 and 7. Respect!

- It's not a harem
- Imouto is not a brokon (though I feel that that imouto fanservice was intentional)
- Cute kouhai Tomoe-chan has a crush on Sakuta, will confess in the 2nd volume and will be rejected as a result
- Mai is the main girl
- She'll start dating Sakuta in the ending of the second volume
- Sakuta is to become her husbando
- But there's a challenger: Makinohara Shouko, Sakuta's first crush
- So you can say there is a slight bit of love triangle

- Shouko-san will even marry Sakuta in at least one timeline
- Mai's sister seems to like Sakuta too
She's also a siscon, though

Eh? There's a new manga adaptation? It's called "Seishun Buta Yarou" and it's different than the already released 18 chapters of "Seishun Buta Yarou wa Bunny Girl Senpai no Yume o Minai"

Technically speaking, this series isn't numbered (volume 1, 2, etc...). Each volume has its own title.
Manga is just adapting each volume of the LN as different manga. (a little like how Re:Zero has a manga for each arc)

Well, considering first manga adaptation has pace like 1 chapter per 2 months, it'll take ages to cover just the first volume.
So, it's no surprising.

Though, second volume contains certain spoilers for readers who haven't read the first volume.

But I'm always curious something from this spoiler. Can someone explain it more?

Sakuta was destined to die on the date with Mai on christmas and since he knew Shouko heart problems, he allowed to transplant his heart to her after his death while Shouko awakened the ability to travel to the past which explains why there is a older shouko around together with the younger her(the younger version is the present Shouko), that is the real reason behind his scar in the chest.

Mai learned of this(she was eavesdropping on their talk) and got desperate since she knew that Sakuta even knowing about it would allow himself to die to save Shouko so on christimas when Sakuta was about to let himself be run over, Mai took his place and died, and "that" version of Shouko(the one that had Sakuta heart) disappeared since she no "longer" existed since Sakuta didn't die and gave his heart to her. When Sakuta was despairing another Shouko from the future(who had Mai heart) appeared to him to unmake what happened and during their talk Sakuta notices the ring on her finger and figured that in this timeline where Mai died he would marry Shouko. What happens after i won't tell but it's very emotional.

After read your spoiler, I'm thinking about Mai's feeling, it hurts me and sometimes makes me think that Did Sakuta love Shouku more than Mai?
But as for what I want to know, he would marry to Shouko because Mai died, this reason is acceptable.

Can I ask another question, about Mai and Sakuta's relationship?

How is their relationship currently? How can they marry or Will they marry in the main/present timeline? I'm curious.
