Splitting of Speculation & Theories Thread
The Speculation & Theories thread here has gotten to become a bit of catch-all with almost every topic related to High School DxD inside it. I would like to close the current thread and create multiple threads that are more focused on specific areas of speculation.
Any recommendations about what these threads could be? They can be speculation specific to things in the latest novels, but the thread title should avoid explicit spoilers. We can also create new threads every time a new volume comes out, if we want. Now that we have this whole forum, there's no reason to keep everything locked into one or two threads.

about the power up tread i already did that.
 you can visit the hs dxd group or the wikia itself. it is not finished yet. About splitting the speculation and theories tread plz dont because it's good tread and we speculate and theorize what will happen in the ln like the powerup, relationship and etc. splinting it might cause redundant topics though i will let older members discuss this

I think that we might split the thread that discusses some general speculations about the plot development based on the latest volumes like for example the potential story developments that might occur after volume 17 and a separate thread that deals with the characters potential power ups and individual developments that might occur to them, which might also be split into multiple threads like for example a thread that deals only with the power and character development of the Gremory team, which might be the largest one and a separate one that is focused on the other characters that get less screen time, like for example the Bael or Agares groups.
At least that's the only thing that came to my mind, at this moment. |

Thanks to the moderators creating a volume specific thread for us, we don't need to worry about discussion about current volumes becoming messy.
How about splitting it into two speculation/theories thread? 1.) Future Plot Speculation/Theories 2.) Future Character Speculation/Theories

i personally don't really see a need to split it into different categories but.. ooh well.
1.character section : where we can discuss romance/ power-ups / etc. we could then ever further separate the character section into the different families. there's also an option to ever further separate the power-up section into demonic powers/ sacred gear/ longinus/ etc. 2.future plot section : to discuss future events. this is pretty much all that would be needed in my opinion. @kusabireika: just like teejmo stated those power-up discussions would be held in the character section.

Well, let me throw out there: what about specific threads about specific aspects of the plot that you want to speculate after each volume? We have no limit on the amount of threads we can create, and we don't have to keep everything all grouped together any more. I don't mind creating more threads after each volume release. I feel like we're not using the space well!
 Surely there are a bunch of specific speculation topics that could be discussed. Or speculation about specific characters?

Making a power thread on the forum wont be a bad idea.
Like relentless said, we should use the sub-forum to the fullest. Having distinct threads would stop making certain threads overflowed with unrelated topics. I think that happened three times already. So additional thread: -Power-Ranking thread -Favorite Character Thread -Favorite Moment Thread -Rating Game Thread -What you would like to see in DxD Thread

Thanks to everyone for the feedback so far. How about these threads?
- Character powers, match-ups, and ratings - The Rating Game - Favourite Character/Plot Moments - Favourite Character Poll (Volumes 1-17) - Speculation/Theories: Future plot direction (after volume 17) - Character Speculation/Theories: Gregory Clan - Character Speculation/Theories: Phoenix Clan - Character Speculation/Theories: Bael Clan - Character Speculation/Theories: Other Characters Still hesitating about the harem/romance thread because those tend to attract lots of arguments between fans of the various girls, and we've had bad experiences in the past with that. Any others we should add, or things that should be changed? If people like these ideas, then the next step is to compose the opening post for each to briefly explain each topic.

Could someone provide a list of the names of the characters they think should be included on the character poll? I realize it could be a long list, so maybe some of the minor characters could be excluded. Or, would it be better to have two polls: one for major characters, and one for minor/supporting characters?

Just wanted to point out quickly in regards to the new threads that it's 'Gremory', not 'Gregory'.
Some of the characters that should be included: Issei Hyoudou Sairaorg Bael Vali Lucifer Cao Cao Rias Gremory Akeno Himejima Asia Argento Xenovia Irina Shidou Rossweisse Koneko Toujou Yuuto Kiba Gasper Vladi Azazel Ravel Phoenix Ophis Sona Sitri Tsubaki Shinra Saji Genshirou Le Fay Pendragon Arthur Pendragon Kuroka I know that's not all of them, but I'll leave the rest to someone else or I'll update this post later on. Also I think it would be okay to just have one thread, with an "Other" option for all the minor characters.
