The latest ending theme song was a cover by Kenichi Suzumura, right?

I hope Wataru Hatano gets to do his own one considering he is voicing Matsuyama

That was a good match considering pacing and animation. It's nice how they made the character more detailed with apparently the dirt. I guess next episode will have Kojiro Hyuga

Takahashi-sensei drew a couple panels of Andres Iniesta in a Kobe Vissel uniform, and they met this week. That's pretty damn cool.

He also once drew five Barcelona players including Messi.

None of those guys had signed for Vissel Kobe at the time, though!

What about Misaki Taro? Did they just happen to have a completely brand new spare uniform which was Ishigaki's number by the way?

Next episode will have that famous intro of Hyuga Kojiro vs Genzo!

I think Ishigaki just gave him his own uniform considering he changed clothes in the process and kind of said it looked a bit big on Misaki.

Actually according to the wikia, the first 24 episodes will focus on the national tournament. The Davids anime seems to try to be a balance between J and Road to 2002 considering the staff made some build up episodes for the match between Nankatsu vs Shutetsu

Man, Hyuga is also huge despite his age. Just compare him with Misaki or Tsubasa.

Genzo is pretty tall too. Loved the challenge between Hyuga and Genzo. The original anime scene lasted longer so this new version felt a bit rushed. They fit in Hyuga's backstory which we all loved, and now that I'm older, I have much more appreciation for how hard he works for his family.

Looks like Meiwa FC is in trouble. Hyuga gets a new partner!

Thanks today's match wasn't that extended. It felt kind of boring back in the original with the Shutetsu trio unwilling to pass the ball to Tsubasa.

Man, I didn't remember the episode when a group of children tried to destroy Wakabayashi's legs.

Dropped, for some reason I like more the 2002 remake.

^ Dropped? Really? Not even nostalgia can keep you watching? Oh well...I'll still watch, and we get the appearance of Misugi Jun! He's the one with the heart condition right?

Maybe I come back If they reach the final match against Brazil.

Spoiler:

Btw, some adaptation has reached that point?

We are far away from the Brazil match. The corrector order is:
*Nationals tournament
*Rivalry between Nankatsu and Toho
*French's youth tournament

And that ends the first manga series.

Then we have World Youth which begins by focusing on Shingo Aoi as well as a young adult Tsubasa. Then we move to the Asia eliminatories for the upcoming tournament. Captain Tsubasa J got until this part apparent financial issues (at least that's what the wiki says) Japan vs Brazil is the final match from World Youth and I think it only got adapted into some video games.

Oh well, no then, but if for some miracle this adaptation reaches that point I'll be back in some years. So well, with the actual pace it need like 150 episodes?
