Devil's Night: In Detroit, Michigan it's an event that takes place the night before Halloween. You know what they do during that time? Arson and Vandalism.

I've actually been working on that idea as a side story. Magician Mikoto Misaka and religious war being one of the view ideas. More of an Arthurian inspired version of the world.

I have a feeling in this world, Europe will be locked into war with each other once more. Because I felt that Academy city offered a balancer to potential rivals on the continent. Without it being in existence, there will be nothing of being weary about other then each other.

I had also thought about doing a complete flip over, where the world is more dominated by Espers and theres a magical city inplace of Academy city.

A Thought.

What if, in an effort to improve relations. Select members of the esper communty and magic community are to form a taskforce answerable to both sides. Ofcourse they all live in a single dorm where it was decided that all males would be in the basement rooms while the women would sleep in the upper floors. The members of the dorm include 6 of the 7 level 5s and a certain level 0. The magic side sent styl, index and the entrety of necessarius female dorm inhabitants.

Not sure if I should feel more sorry for Touma in your idea then NT9.

Also I did a rough setting on one of my ideas, with roles reversed. Where espers dominate the world rather then magicians and their is a city for the practice of magic etc. Well in secret at least.

With each choice there is another, which opens the future to so many possibilities.

This world being one of many.

In 1776 the Illuminati was founded in opposition of not the Roman Catholic church, but in opposition to the magical powers that had gripped the shadow of the world. Inspired by the idea that reaching the realm of god through other possible means, accidentally lead to the discovery of a new type of power far from the realm of magic.

They had called these people who had these powers, psychics or more commonly known as Espers.

With this achievement, the Illuminati had worked further in the shadows of the world. Carefully building their strength taking their times to weaken the hold of the religious and magical communities on the world. And on the offset of World War 1 between the European's great powers, the time to strike had begun.

It was said that Vatican City was struck down by God himself, with huge and unexplainable thunderstorms and the wave of fire moving with a will of its own.

And finally completely destroyed with a destructive blinding light.
A similar fate had befallen many religions and magical institutions all across Europe.

The sudden appearance of advance technology and those who wielded powers away from the realm of magic.

Had ended World War 1 in less than a year.

But in those short months, the magical communities' hold on Europe was broken forever. Leading to an exodus to the middle east and would be pushed further with a Second world war. It had taken just eighty years for the dominance of magic being replaced with the dominance of science.

And at the year of 2014,
Tthe society of magic had almost became extinct around the world with the exception of one country.

Japan.

Were exists a slowly thriving community of magicians, many being descendants who had fled the fires of World War 1.
Under the gaze of the Illumanti, the magicians continue to live in fear knowing that their enemy would soon enough come for them.

Would like ideas for an alternative name for the city, if I decide not to make the society practice in secret.

Good names, just thinking whether or not it would be public knowledge that magic is practised or that its done in secret in fear of retaliation. Either way, if the former is done, then I need to think of a reason why they're no longer being perused.

Either way I figured a Alesiter Crowley, who pursues the complete knowledge of magic rather science in this version of the world. Mikoto Misaka a Saint and Touma still a powerless magician in this case.

So, NT10 have finished translated A fanfic idea from me:

NT10 epilogue showed Aleister breaking into the phase of the Gods. A bit of fudging the mechanics we could argue Aleister broke causality in the process (probably helped by Othinus messing with the phases) and led to the creation of Heretic Gods and the subsequent creation of Campiones. Nice job breaking it, hero

Some more worldbuilding:
-Heretic Gods = NT Magic Gods, or shards of them. The Perseus that Godou fought probably is only on the scale of NT Hel, so if there's unequal power translations we can just have fractions of a Magic God and/or Heretic God for the fusion.

-The final phase Othinus couldn't break was a secluded part of Campione-verse Netherworld where retired Gods go to so they don't go Heretic AND not lose most of their power (like that old man who gave Godou his katana, staying in the Netherworld made him weaker). Too bad Aleister broke the seal.

-Campiones won't break the balance of NT-verse too much, considering there's already Saints and Valkyries running around. They probably fit between them, but below the One-Man-Factions like full-powered Fiamma and Omnipresent!Aleister, lynchpins of a Faction that effectively loses most of their usefulness once the Boss is down. Introducing Campione-verse mechanics will make things more complicated, but not to the point of everything breaking apart IMO.

But I'm getting off subject; the point is I don't know if I should explore that arc. or if I should just bypass it. I say that only because, by that time, Touma will be kinda be between the lines of OT and NT Touma. And in that kind of situation, we can all guess that Touma would have a better handling on things compared to before in Cannon.

In regards to Touma losing his memories; I think I have a way to bypass that and end it without him losing them. It'll be a gamble on my part how the fan's view it, but I'm pretty sure I can pull off my idea.

Oh yes. I would love to read that.
