The remake's looking nice, even though they've only released some portraits of the girls so far. (They might've showed more though, haven't checked much lately.) The manga and anime are nothing compared to the game, since they both follow Arcueid's route, which is widely considered the worst route. Then again, it makes the most sense to follow hers, and doing a mixup of all the routes like KyoAni does with Key's work really wouldn't work. All of the routes are too different. The manga's making a good attempt at it though. |

Tsukihime visual novel is excellent.
I've played several highly praised visual novels since then (Ever 17, Phantom of Inferno, Planetarian, etc.), and its still my favorite. ...I need to get around to watching this anime just so that I can join in on discussing it and actually feel like I know what I'm talking about. Seriously, though, why the hell would they change Arcueid in favor of making her less "cheerful and naive" and more "badass"? She can be badass when she wants to be (though Akiha is the more badass member of the harem), but her cheerful qualities were what made her so lovable. |

I bit late to pick up this anime... but it was definitly worth it. The way it ended made me remember the emptiness after finishing FSN... this kind of sad romantic endings really gets to me =(
There is something i didnt quite understand.... what is Arcueid? True ancestor, vampire or moon people... or they are all the same? Also when Ciel told the story about Arcueid before meeting Roa... what did she mean by being a pure princess? Did Roa corrupt her and make her thirsty for blood and then stold her powers? If so then when Roa died and the powers stolen from her returned, isnt she supposed to return to her pure self? |

Roa gave her a rose that was laced with his blood. She then bit him and gave him her powers. Nope, the game explained that she is corrupt forever and if she stayed near shiki she would bite him immediately.

I bought this anime on a whim the other month, and I finished watching it just the other day! I really enjoyed it, although the beginning was less interesting than the end imho; the ending moved more quickly, had less fillers and...well, I suppose a lot more was revealed in the ending too! The first few episodes were building up to it.
I thought Arcueid opened up a little bit quickly...In the last 4 episodes, she suddenly seemed to change into someone far less serious! And also someone a lot more...devoted? That being said, I thought her character was the best of the lot and she's made her way onto my top 10 anime characers list. The ending was beautiful...It was the kind of ending I was hoping for really. My favourite kind of ending! ^_^

Well I marathoned it last night and was fairly pleased with it I feel so sorry for Yumitsuka, she is pretty much the normal girl and

Beside that, they never fully explained the sister. Anyway, I liked the OP and the characters as well, though the male lead has some traces of denseness that come close to Yuji from SnS ._. But on the other hand, Arcueid has some uber-moe moments whenever she is happy, so I wont complain But to be honest I had a huge wtf moment at the end of EP11 when they uuuuhhhmm, lets say "interacted together" though it was hinted before quite obviously. The only thing that I found to be a massive plot hole is that Spoiler:

Not only arcueid cannot be near Shiki cause of her bloodlust but also Shiki has that anti-demon thing from his clan that makes him go berserker everytime a demon is near. I wonder if Arcueid gave some of her powers to Shiki, then she would be able to stay with him like before. I mean what is the point of staying chained for all eternity? If she doesnt want to hurt other humans then she should just kill herself....

I'm still up in the air about the anime, while it is my favorite should they have gone the 24 episode FS/N and showed a lot of each girl's path or kept with the single arc like they did.
Watching the anime, the anime was good, playing the game, I realized just how much they had to cut out. It's like reading the short story then being handed the entire WoT series.
