Spoiler for Chapter 510:

So, based on the spoilers, apparently the Dragon Slayers met once when they were very young. That explains why Natsu found Wendy's name so familiar when they first met. No special magic connection, just the vestiges of an old memory lost to vagaries of age. That's a nice little cap-off to this mystery.

In other news, we finally get to see Natsu and Zeref's parents, and Sting finally enters the action by getting a shot against Larcade. He at least has the edge over Kagura by being able to eat Larcade's light (he is a Dragon Slayer after all), though I still have to wonder how it'll turn out since we're already expecting his mom to put an end to his daddy issues. Still, it'd be unwise for Hiro to use a second non-FT member in a row just to serve as Spriggan fodder. I don't want to jinx it...

The chapter was just jumping around here and there that i could barely get into what is going on. Natsu dying? As if, it's probably just another power-up process. Sting vs Larcade. Really couldn't care much, it's highly unlikely that Sting will win after all.

I would like to see the memory segment uninterrupted. Sting entrance doesn't impress me.

Raksheid might lost against Sting + Kagura + Yukino.. Mashima is a genius in making this happened if he hasn't lost any of his old touch

I think Natsu is officially not alive... when everything ended or Zeref died, his magic would be released and he'll die

That panel with the line about "that child" wasn't something being said by "Zeref", it was a flashback to Grandine and Igneel talking post Tower of Paradise arc. She was predicting Natsu would meet Wendy, and hoping things would go better this time.

What's all this about a mystery Dragon Slayer? I didn't see or read anything like that in the chapter.

I also noticed a call-back to a line early in the story that was never adapted into the anime: Grandeeney hoping that Natsu and Wendy would get along "this time". It was originally from the scene where she and Igneel were talking about Natsu's survival after the Tower of Heaven (moved to the end of the Battle of Fairy Tail in the anime), but was cut along with foreshadowing of the Dragon King Festival and Ultear's confirmation that Zeref was alive all along. Perhaps it had something to do with that "anime was meant to end with 48 episodes" tidbit I kept hearing about but never found any official confirmation for.

Ah, I see. Yes, that's the scene I was talking about where Grandeeney mentions Wendy. And though it wasn't on the same panel, Wendy was explicitly addressed by name in that scene well before her debut in the manga, unlike the anime, where her existence was known as soon as she appeared onscreen.

Annoying... We now have Natsu's flashback, Erza's thing w/ Eileen, August's talk with Jellal, Sting's fight with Rakhied, and implications of Mavis as a mother to follow up on from the last three chapters or so. Mashima needs to pick one and follow through.

Anyway. Nice to finally have the explanation about the DS's history together.

On a minor note, despite the redemption scene I see inevitably coming, it tickles me a bit that DiMaria still has a bit of bitchiness left in her.

Looks like Crunchyroll goofed up. They seemed to think Grandeeney was talking to Natsu about Wendy in that flashback panel when it was actually Igneel.

Okay since we got an explanation about Larcade's magic now, here's my big question. How did Erza be unaffected at all considering the fact that she's such a cake lover. More like how is everyone unaffected? Everyone eats and sleeps, if Larcade's magic affect those, everyone should be affected by it equally child or adult. The scene where Kagura and Yukino were shown as talking food is a level of weird and funny mix together. And Fro waiting for Rogue before eating his meals is actually kinda cute. Not sure so much about Sting's winning chances yet though, even if he did become the White Shadow Dragon.
