ah it been so long since i read this LN. it was great!!! one of the few where i liked every girl in it. every girl had their own personality, traits and development. really wish we could get last book!.

yes it did, that's why people decided it to be otp-end cus it's ended when mc confessed to luna.

well it makes sense about the backlash with one of the best developed harems at the time, suddenly becomng a OTP romance even when all the other girls hinted with being fine with a harem.

i still wish we could have got a proper ending, still wanted to know what Luna's real name and birthplace since that always bothered her. that more then likely her arc would have been about in the last book.

To Love Ru at least has the excuse of the MC wanting a single girl from the beginning, and the idea of a harem being offered as an alternative (which not all the girls are okay with)

Tsuki Tsuki was basically everyone (including and especially the main girl) wanting a harem ending and the narrative going out of it's way to allow it only for the MC to reject everyone and choose only the main girl in the space of a single volume.

That's bad, like really bad. I used to think that the outrage over the ending was simply due to fans of harem endings dissatisfied with the final pairing, but now that I know the details I can perfectly understand why people are pissed.
I remember reading that this series was supposed to be a battle LN before the author turned it into a romcom. Maybe if he stuck to the initial plan it would have been better.

Maybe. The draw for this series was the funny dialogue and the MC being atypically smooth without being a perfect superhuman. So either way works.

Another problem is that Luna is basically a background character after volume 1, so it pissed people off even more.
