Just out of curiosity I was wondering if there are any harem series in which most or all of the girls are childhood friends. Closest I know is Shuffle, in which along with the girl he lives with obviously being a childhood friend the other two initial main girls specifically sought him out due to memories from their childhood. Only thing I think would exclude this is that their memories amount to a single encounter each, not long-term playmates over at least a month or two. Don't care if it's LN, manga or anime, but I strongly prefer it be one of those (I've never been real good with manhwa).

Mujaki no Rakuen. In a weird, twisted kinda way or not really. The mainchar travels back in time to his childhood and starts his harem there, so technically everyone is his childhood friend.

Other childhood friend type of anime I can think of are Kage Kara Mamoru, Tonagura and kinda but not really Love Hina.

Not sure if they count as "childhood friends" if they are, indeed, children at the time. Still hilarious how he even beats Rito in terms of number of excessively sexual situations he can end up in (and does it with 12-year-olds at that). As for the other two, it looks like only the main girl in KKM is a childhood friend and I'm not sure Tonagura is even a harem in the first place going by the piece I remember watching long ago (lost the rest before I could finish) and the Wikipedia entry. Still going to track them both down all the same though.
