Confirmed as TV anime.

In other words, we got this spin-off and a DanMachi OVA to premiere in the future.

FYI: Sentai's press release states: "The series will air exclusively on Anime Strike, the curated on-demand anime subscription from Amazon Channels." [Source] (My bolding.) I guess that means not even their own The Anime Network will have the show.

Episode 1:

Well this episode bought back the familiar feeling of the series I remember before.

The main characters were introduced (with some of their levels). Animation and quality remains generally the same as the original series. There's no some fan service in this but I'm not really bothered by them. The Hiryute twins were probably most guilty of this.

I like the fantasy and adventurous feel of this episode and it jumped right into the show without wasting much time. Nice to see Bete in this as well (his voice is so recognizable tbh). Action wise, it felt like DanMachi again. Aiz is still quite a badass

Hmm. I've only read the manga so I don't know how the LNs compare but didn't they skip a lot of content? Well, I guess they wanted to end with that scene after all... (which makes sense)

Bit hard to say what, but felt like somewhat was lacking.

From some comments I seen in the web about it they apparently did. Also, apparently the Japanese found this ep to be very boring and don't feel like it could live up to being like how Railgun was for Index. I hope they pick up the pace in later eps.

I'm inclined to agree with them. It was pretty boring I thought.

They rushed it and mashed 2 different scenes in one yet were able to insert in some tentacle fanservice.

Ehhh. Not a good sign.

I feel exactly the same, wasn't a good start and they rushed content just for the sake to add more fanservice, which is silly as hell.

BTW Bell was so pathetic.
