Ratings for Nichijou, T&B, and Dog Days have been posted. T&B's ratings are extremely impressive for late night, particularly episodes 6-8.

BTW is there a chance we'll ever get ratings for MBS' airing of AoEx? I've always found it odd that Nichigo ratings always come from TBS and whether they are doing well are based on TBS' ratings, but it seems obvious that the ratings would be higher on MBS given that they're the original producers.

I think our only chance laid in the person that just posted the ratings for TaiBani and Dog Days... you have to wonder why he didn't get them for AoEx at the same time. I was really hoping to get them too. orz

Just realized Shipuuden rating are not even half of pt1 Naruto's ... It's like Bleach ... The manga sales are fairly consistent so you have to look elsewhere to gauge its popularity. I guess people still buy it as an habit or to have the whole collection, but don't watch / like it anymore ?

Thanks for the info.

I should be happy about this, but I can't see it as nothing but a pyrrhic victory. These two shows, while I enjoyed for the most part, are not the reason I first got to watch the block. The shift to an entirely different demographic is really unfortunate. The block is saved (for the time being) but at a great expense imo.

I think that No.6 will have a good chance to attract the young female demographic, but Usagi Drop is a bit of a worry since it's something similar to the older noitaminA, and would probably be a gamble.

The thing that will be the most worrisome is, again, the shift in the type of programing. It's unlikely that the majority of people who had tuned in for C/Anohana will come back with these different shows ...

There is no title on Noitamina that I see was orignally aimed at the haruhi cultist set.

apparently anohana has had strong otaku base due to the char designs. Other than that, I don't see it.

Once they aired Hakaba Kitaro, I saw I move away from the pure josei audience target.

That being said, their programs are a HELL of a lot more noob friendly than the stuff that they air on TV Tokyo for example.

Kitaro aside however, they seem to have adapted less and less works with widespread popularity (Nodame aside). Add to it the amount of original works they put out and there is bound to be risk. Still, even at it's nadir the timeslot has done no worse than some of the best otaku-aimed shows in the ratings.

These two shows, while I enjoyed for the most part, are not the reason I first got to watch the block. The shift to an entirely different demographic is really unfortunate. The block is saved (for the time being) but at a great expense imo.
