Dang, looks like I'm out of luck. That is pretty sad, this is the first time really I ever put any thought into potentially going to any sort of (Western hemisphere) anime event. Ah well, good luck to anybody for whom it does look like they will be able to attend the viewing. I still think it's really cool that the movies are also going to premiere in pretty close to real time for the international community.

Yeah, I think its a great thing as well. If anyone can see them then by all means go for it. I happen to be in one of these states that are mentioned but I don't have the means to get there.

hell yeah, it will be played in US threater. hope there will be camrip, i can't wait for a year for the BD/DVD release to see it.

According to the link totoum posted, we should be able to order tickets for the french screening in late September. Did the sale already start? Shit, I missed this announcement and now I'm really scared that all the tickets are already gone ;_;

Also, anyone planning on attending from other countries? I would travel from Germany, maybe some other users would like to join/meet up.

Just checked the official website (http://www.madoka-magica.com) and I couldn't find anything mentioning the international airings, probably due to my limited japanese. I checked the theater and ticket section.

For some reason it doesn't look like I can reserve a ticket for the New York screening... the theater's site doesn't list October 20th. Anyone know what's up with that?

Thanks bhl88, but I was looking for french tickets.
Anyways, I found my answer elsewhere, some nice french people helped me out on IRC. Tickets are 19€ and sales did in fact already start.

Is someone interested in traveling together, or meeting up in france? I think it would be a lot more fun with a bunch of people, rather than on my own.

I read that the theater in NY won't sell tickets til the week before the show. Which is kinda weird, but look into that just in case.

Sorry i was late, and i ordered it, the 2 first movies will be aired in Paris, at the Grand Rex, october 19th at 08:30 PM. It will be a blast!
