For EPL: I'm not talking about top of the table, rather individual matches, which is always entertaining. Regarding FA Cup being that way, you're right it's probably a factor but not enough for me to consider it impacts that much.

I still think Southampton will burn out. I'll be surprised if they're in it.

Have Arsenal ever won at OT through? I means of course surely they did and could be just me, but every time i watched that fixture, Arsenal always ended up losing.

There was a famous encounter when Arsenal won at Old Trafford. The win resulted in Fergie kicking a boot by "accident" at Beckham's face.

I am only thinking about FA Cup games.

It's not just you, Arsenal spent the last 8 or 9 years without a title, so it's no wonder your remember them losing

The most amazing thing this week is that the keeper for Augsburg scored an equalizer at 94th minute.

And not heading a corner, the guy stayed in the rival's box waiting for the final play to unfold and then shoot with his right foot

Welbz doing everything but scoring. Strongly involved in both goals but Arsenal could do much better to be honest.

I'll take the three points. It was a scare but we're top of the non-oil league with literally one point difference to separate everyone from 3 to 7, now that Liverpool won against the Saints.

Screw Chelski and Man City. The *real* league is wide open.

yeah, we were actually pretty poor. but 3 points is 3 points. a good weekend for us. the only bad thing is west ham didn't end up winning. otherwise, everyone else took points off everyone else.

i dont know about that, i was hoping southampton would beat liverpool. the damn scousers are on a scary run right now, and we really REALLY don't need them in the top 4 race as well.

Sad news from Serie A as Parma has been declared not eligible to continue in Serie A and automatically relegated to Serie B because of financial problems.

Well, not so sad, that's really the only way to combat debt within football clubs, especially one like Parma who's so indeebt that couldn't pay illumination and security for his own stadium, and hasn't paid his players in over 3 months I believe...

In terms of 'fairness' sure. In terms of functionality, high non-payable debt seems like a much more pressing issue no? Lest each countries FA starts bailing smaller clubs out

The 2015 Major League Soccer regular season won't kick off for a couple more weeks (potential CBA shenanigans notwithstanding), but two MLS sides are commencing hostilities this week as a part of the quarter-finals of the 2014-15 CONCACAF Champions League.

Last night, l'Impact played against Pachuca down in Mexico:

The result leaves Montréal in a fairly good position for next week's second leg at the Olympic Stadium. Hopefully the locals will come out in force to cheer the team on as they seek to push into the semis.

Before then, D.C. United will start off the first leg of their QF match-up on Thursday, when they will take on Alajuelense down in Costa Rica. (The return leg will be back at RFK Stadium in Washington D.C. next Wednesday.)

Story of Arsenal's life in Europe under Wenger.

If his team is not drilled to play tight and tactical matches (which is almost mandatory to win Europe), that's what happens. No wonder why they are eliminated often and early in Europe when pressure is high. Still, I sure wasn't going to put money on Monaco to win like that before the match was played.
