Chapter 15 Raw spoiler (MAJOR SPOILER)

Toru is not longer going to school..It looks like he is shutting himself in his house. It seems that the bully case become more aggressive or whatsoever. Not sure what really happen since I only read chapter 15 and not other chapters (can't find those previous chapters anywhere). Koyuki is so worried about him and the chapter ended with Koyuki standing in front of Toru's house (raining) and shouting his name.

and yes, Kuga is not innocent as we thought. She kinda look evil in this chapter.

It was going to come back to haunt Toru eventually. He never really dealt with his bullying problem and just avoided it using his minimal exposure policy.

There is a [rumor or actual phenomenon] about an "Iris Hunter" (I have no clue), which causes people to lose their Iris powers (specifically "extinguished"). Naturally, the only person to suspect is the one who never had an Iris and therefore may be jealous. Toru stopped going to school because of what was probably a full chapter display of hate by near everyone (including apparently Kuga). As of chapter 15, it has been two weeks since he stopped going.

I'm leaning on the "Iris Hunter" thing being mass hysteria. It'd be his best puzzle solve ever and it'd make him the manga high school equivalent of Gregory House in my mind.

Are you talking about Yuki? Or Kuga? Isn't Yuki the one who has that ability and the one who accidentally caused Toru hardships in the past?
Kuga is the one introduced in Chapter 4.

Kuga's Iris is shown in chapters 8 and 9, and is very benign.

However, she only told this to Koyuki, so she could be lying. I wouldn't like the idea of an Iris that affects others though. It seems to break the setting.

If she had no tail while answering to Yuki the second time, then she's telling the truth. She may have something against Toru, but she didn't do what Yuki is accusing her of.

... I assume you're getting from the magazine chapter? Because vol 2 covers out to ch. 8 or so, and Vol 3, which would only cover out to 12ish, in't out for about 2 weeks

alas, the curse of monthly manga... it's 1000000x times than weekly (usually), but the wait between chapter will drive one mad. Here's to hoping that in February, the situation at least starts getting resolved

I agree and he now has real friends who can help him in this problem and one of them is even in love with him (already seen in Chapter 7) and they will help him to solve this problem for real this time.

once again, a manga proving it doesn't have to resort to perverted situations, showing nudity, or having a harem around the MC to get by in this day and age, but instead giving its characters depth on their background and making the side characters have a great support role for the MC (which i see coming in chapters 16-18 most lilkely).

now to see where the author intends to go with this once toru gets over his past... maybe the author will dive into how the whole IRIS boom thing started.

I have to agree with you. Good thing that the author do not need to rely on the fanservice or panty shot to attract reader.

Be frank, I kinda tired with a fanservice manga nowadays. I do not mind of harem setting as long as the girls have a good reason to fall in with MC. But too bad, most of the harem writers prefer to make all girls fall in love with wuss/clumsy main character for no real reason such as "I think I love him madly because he smile at me"

Hope that Iris Zero will not turn into fanservice manga in the future.

Some lighthearted fair and obligatory school festival chapter.

If I didn't know better I would have throughout that this was a shojo manga. I mean if yuki was the main focus and toru was the secondary, you would think of it as one. Most of the elements are there, indifferent male, perky female, complete opposite of main male best friend and such.

Because it's her word against anothers, even if she can tell the girl is lying and everyone knows Yuki can tell if someone is lying, it's still only her word.

Thats why she needs proof in this particular case.

Yup, it's such a refreshing manga. Fanservice most of the time becomes unbearable when used improperly or excessively. Also, its not possible for Toru to be dense in the romance department because he did notice that Katagiri harbored secret feelings for Hijiri.

Since Hijiri has the Iris that can foretell when something dies, then there might be an Iris that can foretell whether two people are compatible with each other in love. Or another Iris that can see the darkness in an individual's heart. So many possibilities
