Back then Yui was not yet in the picture, so I meant Ayumi and Chihiro. But now that I've finished rereading, I feel that Yui has also shown some signs that she might remember more than she lets on. Plus she's GAR now after the whole body switch, so she needs more panels But Ayumi and Chihiro are so in denial about crushing on Keima

Gender bender God(dess's) indeed.

Given the fact that Apollo is considered female, or I'm reading wrong; then there would be a good enough guess that the author is basing the sisters off Dii Consentes?

Given two very broad suspicions based on the story telling that would infer the author is picking out ones that are daughter/son equivalent to Jupiter; of course with gender bending it could be assumed that the stories equivalent of Dii Consentes is vaguely inspired off of it and there is a total of 10 more goddesses to go and with the exclusion of Kusunoki's sister, the ghost; there's about 12 in the pot currently to figure out whose who. Assuming there are still more goddesses.

Regardless, given the theme now between Diana and Apollo and their hosts. The next ones I expect to pop up are Mar's and Venus.

This is just a broad guess, but ignoring any hard fact connection to the actual Roman belief; and if Keima ruling out previous capture targets because of his inability to grasp the female mind.
Mars = Ayumi
Venus = Tukiyo
Neptume = Minami
Mercury = Mio
Minerva = Yui

The only real odd one out of the pairs presented thus far that have a theme of a host so far is mercury whose pair is Ceres; given that Diana/Apollo - Mars/Venus - Minerva/Neptune in terms of the original pairing based off of Titus Livius.

Well, that's just food for thought.

The goddess inside Kanon is a descendant of Apollo, so it's not a gender bender, and she's Diana's older sister.

Hmm, Elsee whispered to Keima after Kanon walked out of the classroom... I wonder what it was.

Also... Kanon is lovely to the maximum.

With significant improvements in Wakaki-san's drawing, Kanon is cuter than ever. Ah! The same goes for Ayumi and Mio, too! And, yes, I hope so.

Do keep in mind that Roman mythology is less well-known than Greek mythology, so only a few Roman deity names are all that readily recognizable to the average person (and most of those only as planets)...

Finally somebody as unreliable as Elsee?

Kanon may have picked up the memory alteration of people around hence her uncertainty Keima remembers.

Meeting Keima again triggered Apollo's awakening, restarting Kanon's memories. If this an indication of how it actually works Keima will have to go old school level grinding like Yuki, Hakua's partner. Mio and Kusunoki aren't so out of the running yet if so.

This is just an excuse for the author...I bet he didn't think of that idea when he started the manga (at least, he didn't think of that in Kanon's arc )

The most interesting thing about chapter 114 was that Apollo comment about how the sealing of the Weiss occurred and how she just happened to wake up without any sense of time passing. It looks like Diana was one of the stronger Sisters so that's how she managed to speak and remain awaken with Tenri for 10 years.

Could be. If you look at Diana's behavior as well, you can notice that she also doesn't mirror Tenri's all the time. I always took that as convenience for the artiest, but now it might be the Goddess own ''inner world''.

Err, I thought Apollo said she regained her power because of Kanon's songs? Her question at the study session seemed like she wanted to confirm if what she remembered at the time was correct.

If you read back as far as Mio's arc (and arguably the very first chapter) you can already notice hints thrown here and there about the girls remembering Kemia. Sure, he might not have thought about the Goddess subplot at that time (though I vaguely remember a translated comment around here from his blog that he did) but he did have the foundation for the idea all set.

Well I was NOT expecting that at all.

Kanon? Well I'm glad her character's getting more depth this time around, but I'm pretty surprised.

It seems Wakaki-sensei is trying to bring back a bunch of the girls from the back of the line up front. We had a small moment with Mio a couple chapters back, and just two "captures" ago Kusunoki made a return as an important plot piece.

While we're still getting new girls, I'm glad the story has evolved into more from the "Girl of the Week" formula.

So, yeah, is this going to "Kanon~ After Story" now?

Go read the Kanon After omake. Kanon nervous or clumsy whenever Kiss or something similar sounding to Katsuragi is heard.

Kanon meets Keima again and wonders if they met before. Kanon's feelings for Keima awakened Apollo.

Note: it has only been a month since Apollo manifested.
