About a month ago, a Kickstarter was started by writer AJTilley for an OEL(Original English Language) manga with artist Bokurac along with a Visual Novel with CG by Tonee89 and model figurines by NickBeja.

The Kickstarter has ended but thanks to Megatokyo for blogging about this project, it got a major increase in pledges in it's last day which reach all of the project's stretch goals.

The plot of Swords of Edo focuses on the Justicars, an elite female order of warriors that fights corruption, injustice and maintains order in an alternative Japan which the Shogunate never ended. While the 1st volume will focus on the introduction of it's four main heroines: Shia, Kami, Asumi and Rei, there will also be side stories with original characters created by the higher pledgers of the Kickstarter.

Along with the manga, there will also be model figurines and a Visual Novel game which AJTilley promises will contain Ecchi. Here's a demo of the game.

I can't wait to read this once it's out.

I'm always interested in seeing OEL stuff so looking forward to see how this one turns out.

Looks cool and sexy. It looks like there aren't many pages to go on it seems, or maybe I'm not navigating through the site properly... who knows. I'm quite interested in this, and I'll be sure to follow this to see where this goes.

On that note: Black sexy underwear = instant win!

Cause it's actually a Kickstarter funded manga. The books will be out in September 2013 but the people who funded this manga gets digital download issues next month.

There are some male side-characters. I'm not sure about main male characters but you can ask the author about this.
