I agree for most part (3/4)... But forget not one major difference though, Gin isn't a megalomanic egotistical bastard -> StarScream has a horrible case of superiority complex, Suigintou has inferiority complex
Plus! Gin doesn't want "it all" she just has plenty of determination to reach that ONE goal no matter the means to get there.

Starscream also had an inferioritycomplex
always trying to prove that he (insert Gin) was better than Megs (insert Shinku), that he (insert Gin) is/should be the rightfull Decepticon leader (insert Alice)

to add, just like Starscream: Gin had the most 'depth' in her character

hmm... I dunno. We don't really have any background on why Starscream started acting like that though. (unless a diehard transformers fan can give some insight) He also wants a position of power which lends itself more to being egotistical.

In the manga, she outright lies to Souseseki and turns on her at the very first opportunity stating that she never intended to honor her aggreement.
