He's a competent specialist, not one of those OP protagonists.

It would also contradict with the goblins whole "maliciously intelligent & dangerous in large numbers" fact their going with. They do use their numbers but not just that as we've seen, they ambush & even use poison. Later on they even use human shields, literally.

This MC is a decent example of that it seems.

From what I've read, he's methodical & his fights with strong foes didn't have that "shocked & in awe & his moves was super cool" thing.

To me, they were created so that the reader would consider them as dumb meatheads that probably exist to be killed off and be some kind of bad example of an adventurer compared to the Goblin Slayer, who exudes tactical superiority and high levels of preparedness.

It exposes a lot of problems with the setting, like the recklessness of adventurer guilds in sending out recruits out on the field, and the lack of useful and practical combat training for the lowest kind of adventurer. You could argue that they did have training, but said training should have been far longer, like college age. The fact that they are sent out this early implies a population problem, but the guild isn't helping with that.

I also heard that the entire goblin mess was due to gods goofing off with dice, and that kind of worldbuilding pisses me off.

Why can't it start with a group of 25-40 year old hardened adventurers that are forced to deal with goblins due to an unusual display of activity, who found themselves struggling since the gobs are different from long ago? That way, the story could immediately begin with the authorities recognizing the anomaly and making changes accordingly.

Why start with scrubs if they'll just be used to gauge the danger of the setting? Go straight with the grown-ups, dammit. It has the same effect.

Because green kin raped bishoujo is trend in Japan , and when you add scat and guro , it become bestseller . Bonus NTR and pregnant human cattle or slaves for dark fantasy . Then the hero come and kill everything , and mercy kill the slave or cattle .

I agree that there are better ways to convey the strong points of the mc...but the way they did it here isn't as common or ineffective as your making it out to be. To begin with, LNs are pretty saturated with significantly worse attempts, mostly rooted in a poor or uninspired concept of "strength"...also, the college age suggestion doesn't really work. In places without mandatory education, they would be adults already and college probably wouldn't mean the same thing/happen at the same age. The training wasn't really the issue anyway, it was attitude. They thought about preparing but decided not to. All the training in the world wouldn't save you if your unwilling to apply it.

Because the idol wasn't pure in first place and they feel like getting betrayed or lied .

c2 was out a few days ago.

ln note: the manga didn't mention it but for girls are mind broken by the goblins but survive physically they are taking care of by the church. I think this is first time the Church in a japanese ln isn't a bad guy.

Just seen the chapter 2.

Nice chapter, and the goblin slayer is an efficient fighter. But the problem is, what's else more can the story tells? While I love how goblin slayer sets up the traps and fight, but reading this would get old quickly if they keep reuse the same format.

I also wonder whether the priestess going to get some "action" soon from the goblins in the future especially we all knew that being female in this manga has higher chance to avoid death flag.

Well, the priestess is the main character. So most likely she will not get killed. Since she cannot die due to plot, it is definitely that she will get defiled in the future.

and I did said HIGHER CHANCE to avoid death flag in my previous post.
