Episode 6

As expected, this trip didn't go well at all. The trio started last, an army of black cats passed by them lol, the bridge broke under Hanako and was about to go down into the river below, monkeys were trying to kill them, Hanako lost her lunch to the monkeys, Hanako fell in the river while washing a spoon, got hit by rocks, got attacked by fish, and then got almost attacked by a bear. This was terrible, yet Hanako found it to be quite a fun trip. That is some positive thinking there.

Lol that sensei. She needs such weapon training to protect the most unlucky girls of all time. And then she picked up the bear like it was nothing.

With how unlucky Hanako is, I'm surprised they came out unscathed lol.

Hanako/Anne seems to be Unluckily Lucky, so it is her nature to get into all sorts of impossibly bad situations, and yet come out of them basically fine: never suffering any true harm. Not that that is necessarily much comfort to those caught up in it with her. She will always fail any sort of probability-based system (dice rolling, lotteries, picking a number out of a box), and the disasters that happen around her, while they will never end up being truly harmful, will undoubtedly be all sorts of inconvenient. But she always thinks positively about everything, so no matter what happens she's going to be happy.

I was totally not expecting that.

That aside Anne's adorable positivity is blinding at times. I wonder if she were somehow "saddled" with drawing off the bad luck from others because she responds so well to it somehow?

Holy shit, didn't expect Kodaira-sensei from getting her hunting rifle to shoot down a bear and rescue her students!

Wow, it feels like episode 7 went all out with hair styles. They look quite pretty as well! (a contrast to the stormy weather outside)

When is Hanako happy? ...Always.

After seeing that pillow at the foot of the stairs for Anne to fall on to, I couldn't help but notice there were pillows everywhere in that house.

The situation around Anne's house, though... Between what happened this episode and in the previous one, I find myself wondering if that hairpin of hers is a good luck charm designed to counter the worst of her own terrible luck. Usually negative things that happen to her are ridiculous, but without significant consequences or causing notable harm; however, both times she's lost that pin things have gotten notably worse for her and not seemed to have that balancing effect.

So unlucky Hanako got soaked in the rain and river and ended up getting sick. Lol the weather around her house was especially terrible because two of the most unlucky females alive live there. Lol Anne's lack of luck is genetic. Her mother attended the same school and the same class lol. The part with Botan and Hibari at Hanako's house was cute and funny.

So it wasn't Anne's sister who gave her clothes back in Episode 4, it was actually her mother Sakura... and Anne inherited her bad luck from her mother!

Good thing her four-leaf clover hair clip countered most of the misfortune or Anne would be a total goner!

Poor Anne, it takes a good luck charm to keep her bad luck down to a level she can live through. Fear the debilitating power of the Anime Cold. At least she finally got to have her strawberry milk today.

It just clicked that since Hanako's first name has been revealed as Anne, that she is the main character as her name is in the title. Or at least that's the impression I get.

Strictly speaking it's Hanakoizumi An, but this is one of the few name changes that nobody cares about.
