depends.. are you into small movable figures or large fixed more detailed PVC.
if u dont have much money i say stick with figma, nanodriods or revoltech

T-T I don't have money for figures anymore... I have to buy a new laptop to connect to the TV (for the dining+anime pleasure), as my now 4 yr old one can't cope with some 720p, and since I prefer high quality+softsubs over hardcoded SD avi files, I have to gather some cash... I've cancelled 5 figures this year, too T-T. Only got a Kawazoe Tamaki, and Meido Manaka (ToHeart2) and Saber (F/SN) figures this year... Yeah I know, crappy year... >_<

I guess the more detailed ones. I'm not gonna be playing with them like Transformers, so movable isn't really necessary. What are the averages prices for the different types of figures?

Well, figma are cheaper, are movable and they aren't boring, as you can change their stance sometimes, or even the heads, and have different facial expressions. The figma ones ARE good enough though. The PVC figures can be great or can be crap, depends on which company makes them. Although sometimes, you end up with some very small defect cause they are factory produced, but it's usually minor enough not to care.

I jumped from PVC to TF mainly for the cost reason.

I don't buy much PVC figures. I have 2 cheap Banpresto Seed Destiny figures, 1 Himekuri girl (Cheap and really good quality) and Liu Mei Feng from the Shuraki Trinity series (I'm afraid to use the cast off future. It feels like breaking the figure). Mom and dad are saying that it's perverted. lol.

I pretty much gave up on Transformers after Animated was released (Did buy a Classics Sunstreaker and Prowl though). I'm glad that Takara Tomy is coming with the Transformers "Alternity" series.

lol, nah, just using them as an example of figurines you would play with. What are the general average prices of PVC, Figma, TF, Nendoroid, etc. etc.?

Heard much about these company's...but what is a good site to order them? I typed "Figma" but had a japanees site and with nanodriods only a site with a few figures...

amazon.com reliable btw?, looks like some ebay site :S

i dunno about the price in Australia or Holland but revoltech, nanodriod and figma are usually between 25-40 CND, PVCs are much more expensive, usually between 65 - 100 CND, if you want exclusive or really nice ones u can spend up to 150-200 (all prices are after shipping)

I usually buy from local store, only store i've bought online is Hobby Link Japan. They are very reliable imo.

I repeat, Nenderoid.

Generally I prefer Goodsmile and Maxfactory figurines and I'm terribly addicted to Nenderoid and Figma series. They are very accurate with character faces and eyes, best quality for money.

Fighting against the Figma line is Revoltech's own female figures, the Fraulein series. Pretty good articulation, considering Revolutech is famous for their history in extreme posability in mecha action figures.

Why not try Archonia.com . They are located in Belgium and their prices are okay (There are cheaper places of course). They have Figma and Nendoroids. Shipping is cheap, shipping to the Netherlands with DPD costs 6 euro (6 euro up to packages weighing 15 kilo) and is insured.

If a credit card is not in your reach, archonia is indeed the way to go
but I must say (dunno how it is for the figma/Nendo figs is) that many things
I've seen were alot higher in price than ordering from oversees inc s/h and taxes

I am actually surprised there are not many "local" anime strores in Europe
I've never been in Europe, but i heard how easy it is to get around the continent with trains.
Maybe it will be really popular to open a anime figure/model specialty store in one of the bigger cities (with fair pricing ) the business should be pretty good. Also the store can ship continent or oversea aswell.
I find sometimes buying figure at a local store is much more fun browsing online

Well, Anime isn't that hot in Europe

Most shops prefer to stock Star Wars over anime and US comics sell a lot better than japanese.
Hence, US products are priced a lot more friendly since anime will warm the shelves for quite a while
