He's like this in the manga, though I actually love the guy lol. Him and Puck provide some welcome comic relief in a dark story.

Honestly, this was a damn good episode! Aside from some iffy animation, I have no complaints. They didn't rush things either.

this episode was better than expected. I wasn't sure how they were going to anime the Guts entrance and suprisingly it was good they should just give up CGI in normal scenes at least. at the scene with knight I think Luca was in CGI but the other girls were in CGI. I am starting like the animation or just getting used to it :S

The animation is fine imo and even the lipsync has improved a lot. This is the only animation style that can do the fight scenes justice, although they skimped a little bit this ep. Guts' charging in scene was epic.

I know Puck and Isidoro are a minefield of face faults in the manga, but anime always manages to exacerbate that shit.

Don't see how this episode was any better than previous weeks, however now they really are abusing the Susumu track; like a desperate nostalgic wink to better times.

They really call it a holy land with all the mountains of rotten, burnt corpses festering underground, across the riverbanks, and buried in the wells!

From what I interperted the Skull Knights' words, the land around the Tower of Conviction is but a shrine or altar dedicated to the God Hand, and the levels of vileness and depravity have been building-up for the last thousand years.
The major contamination is already peaking the dangerous climax and almost at the verge short of a little trigger to unleash the gates of hell once the next Eclipse happens.

Those ominous eyes pretty much are observing in place of the God Hand making sure that the needed pieces and players are gathered according to the wheel of fate in order to begin the next banquet of blood and flesh, since humanity after wills it to be.

Lol.. just no!!!! You may like it, but that does not make the bold statement true! Not at all!
But i do agree that the Guts entrance was quite nice tho! The reactions to it by the folks there was also on point. But everything else is just weird with that fail animation! The only reason i still watch this is because it's Berserk and even tho the visuals and directing suck for the most time, the story, the badass Guts, the dark atmosphere and the cool medieval fantasy setting are still present and amazing as always!

Well, the Tower's become more like a symbol of God's judgment, though there's a lot of speculation by readers that a God Hand member emerged from there. Though yeah, a lot of evil's been building up for a very long time, making it a suitable place for the mock Eclipse.

The heretics do unwittingly worship one of the God Hand, Slan, who they call the Goddess of Flames, and you see her in the fumes in episode 6. Slan's also doing her part in building up the evil in Albion by being the heretics' deity and pitting them against the Holy See.

The scenes with Nina got me the most this week.

Guts did a decent job at fighting off those monsters, especially the Goat. I'm not bothered by the CGI anymore, got pretty much used to it by now.

I dunno. The times when they throw in regular animation make it worse, like they're teasing us how the animation could be x10 better than it is. I'm going to watch it because Berserk is easily my favorite seinen manga OF ALL TIME, but I'm not happy about the studio they chose to do it.

It make me die inside a little bit every time I think about how good the animation would be if ufotable had been doing it instead.
