One thing I think is just a little funny is that we didn't have a single episode without Yamada gasping or screaming, yet I've never heard of Tamura Yukari doing any adult works ever, while we haven't heard Chika come close, yet I'm almost certain Asami Shimoda (Chica's seiyuu) played in the adult version of the TayuTama games just like the mainstream game/anime. Spoiler for why:
Chica lost a few points with me this ep though. She jinxed her sister, saying that it would be boring if she managed to do the deed. Everyone else was hoping for her success except for her own baby sister. Either way, if we somehow did manage to get a season 2, one thing I'd like to see is Chica's erogami. If Mayu has one, Chica has to. That's actually one of the reasons I wondered if she'd done it. I mean, what use would an erogami be to a kid who's already done everything the erogami wanted to achieve. Last edited by Seiryuu; 2010-06-21 at 20:52. |

So who else is joining the "Please make a second season" party? lol
This show really surprised me. But darn it, I want it continued. 12 episodes is not enough for a show like this. I want to see Miyano get her spotlight. But yea, the problem is, that there are only 7 volumes of the manga. If the anime went all the way up to volume 7, then that means a long wait. Because the manga-ka seems to be publishing 1 volume per year. So.... it could be a number of years before there's the chance of an adaptation. Although.... Let's face it, the anime and the manga are pretty different in many ways. And in my opinion, the Anime improved on the source material incredibly. If the writer and director could keep writing great jokes on their own and plot, then I don't see why they couldn't make their own sequel that wasn't based on the official manga. Anyone think this might be a good idea? And does anyone know if this show did good ratings wise? |

I just realized something else too. Perhaps there were things in the manga that the anime ignored? Like perhaps skipping certain things so that they could use them in a second season? Apparently Yamada's mother is in the Manga early on, but the Anime left her out.
I could see them using left out scenes combined with their own ideas to create a sequel. |

Wow, you do the same things I do though I was more like "Come on! Almost there!...Aw! not another disturbance in the force! Almost had 'im!" but, a very nice Kosuda x Yamada ep, and even its supporting cast had their time too (Kazuki and her reactions to Kosuda, Takeshita and her sudden outburst, heh what the heck was with the rotating bed) But man oh man was this series a fun ride. I give it a 9/10 mainly because it carried its approach so well: "a girl with the dreams of having 100 sex friends ends up targeting only 1 guy". She loves the guy, and her reactions throughout this series was so hilarious I'd give it a 10 if... Takeshita wasn't resorted to only 1 retort for probably the first time ever But still, I don't remember the last time a series like this had a nice complete package (great OP, entertaining episode, nice ED). I really enjoyed this run and really gad to have been healthy enough to be a part of. Quote:
Nice dakimakura. If I ever get a hold of one, first thing I'll do is smack dab into it AKA Yamada's assault-and-hug on the dakimakura in the ED |

On another note, this series was just surprisingly very good. I enjoyed every single episode and the comedy was pleasantly consistent which can't be said for many other series out there. I had no expectations going into this anime and now I can say that this was just a very solid show all around (although that might be an understatement.) This final episode was just as great, especially considering how honest both Yamada and Kosuda were being with each other. This is probably the only show where I don't mind them accomplishing their goal simply because of how hilarious their attempts were. I can definitely see a second season coming, but that would probably depend on the manga. I will most certainly be looking forward to a second season if they ever decide to announce it.

B Gata H Kei ~ Final Thoughts
I give thanks to Divine for having covered-up this series at randomc.net blog, because it was thanks to him that I was introduced to this cunning and yet entertaining comedy about Yamadas' ecchi misadventures.
Definitely, the moments when I lol really hard where with Yamada's locker-room fantasies going berserk, coupled with Kanejou's over-the-top imaginations, and Takeshitas' scandalized reactions over Yamada's matter-of-factly openness towards sex. Unlike what the title suggests, as I was first led to believe when started this show, fanservice is neither the means nor the focus to get into the slapstick, ecchi comedy. Rather from my POV, it is the result from that comedy. Yamada so willing and ready to hit her first home-run with Kosuda, but along the way she gradually experienced the real love which, regardless of one being boy or girl, can make someone feel uneasy or embarrassed the first time. But, seriously, this show was witty, smart with the ecchiness, and cunning how to handle the content in order to circumvent around the censorship. Yamada's as she put it herself is, indeed, a B-Cupped Slut, but with the heart of a true maiden that ironically achieved to feel love first, although in denial at being in love with Kosuda, in spite of failing at her first time with Kosuda with humorous results. This is the first title that I've finished for the 2010 spring season. |

It's a cover for a giant oversized pillow, almost life-sized (160x50cm), called Dakimakura - so you can always sleep with her
