Fridge Logic/Wild Guess Theory: Fellini says "WE can't miss it" regarding Sei and Reiji's match. One way of interpretting this is that both of them miss the last few matches. We know this is at least true for Fellini regarding Meijin's match with the Renatos brothers. Reason? He was too busy hooking up with Mihoshi/Kirara offscreen.

Yeah, they've been obvious with the ships and the best part is that they're doing it properly, which is surprising. |

Lets have 2 amateurs beat a master martial artist in cqc... The moment it became close quarters combat should have been the moment they lost this is the one series where the main characters in gundam can loose still be a part of the show and maybe comeback stronger in a later arc.

weak episode, dislike Nills Nielsen character so bad since they're trying to shove too many themes for his Character
Samurai + Ninja + Scientist + Aikido + Tai chi = total mess just give us Papilon vs SBS already... well, we still need to see Fenice Glorious and inevitable defeat first next week

Again rushing in I can't think of a martial arts where finding your reach is not drilled in. Boxing use the jab to find your range if your a long distance fighter use head movement to get on the inside if your short,Wrestleing you have to get close to get a penetration step before you shoot a takedown. Judo you have to get close and get access to your opponents hips to do a throw. Any kicking style you have to find the right angle for it to get the most impact. Sorry but after the proper treatment attack on titan put in the martial arts aspect of the series I am holding every anime to the same standard if you are going to put a martial artist in your show have a basic understanding of martial arts.

You know what, Guys?
Nils will take this fight if he conquer the basic of ONE martial arts, it doesn't even have to be mastery. Aikido RG SYSTEM? LEL I USE THAT POWER AGAINST YOU Instead we have a perfectly unprofessional, dragged on fistfight of bar brawl proportion.

the episode is good but the fighting is pretty average now. its just a repeat of the previews battle. I still enjoy the pairings and the humor of the story but the heated fight because one do it for science while the other for gunpla feels a lot like ... meh -_-

Is it just me or ever since Sei and Reiji entered the Top 16, their battles have been pretty mediocre?
I mean Meijin's battle was highly animated and was epic but Sei and Reiji's battles lately are bleh... Can't wait for Felini vs Aila next week. |

My expectations for the fight immediately dropped the moment they discarded the Universal Booster, the rifle, and the beam sabers. Which made no sense to me, since they immediately took out SA's katana, which meant that beam weapons would have been back into play.
And yes, Sengoku Astray should have won the moment both Gunpla lost their arms, because SA has had an extra pair. |

Mediocre fight, but hey after getting epic fights in last two episodes I am willing to forgive this one. The RG system seems like it is becoming a deus ex machina, becoming pretty bland at this point.
And Yuki lol, I just lost it at the comment regarding Astray using Chinese martial art despite being called Sengoku.

Episode 17 wasn't an epic fight though... :/
If I had to rank epicness out of the entire series so far, the top 3 would be 1. Episode 15 (Star Build Strike vs Wing Gundam Fenice) 2. Episode 18 (Kampfer Amazing vs GM Sniper K9) 3. Episode 6 (Build Strike Full Package vs Zaku Amazing) |

Now Nils has a waifu? They're really pushing the ships in this show.
But perfect reaction from Nils; you know there's chemistry when one can throw the other out of his/her element so well. Felini and Kirara now having more casual moments. Next week we finally have the Felini vs. Aila, and no RG system for viewers to worry about. Judging from the episode title, it sounds like Sei and Reiji will finally find out who she is.
