He's full of himself, has a superiority complex, and has some major social communication issues, and of course and anger problem, but he's not in love with himself either. Quote:
Yes, Bakago has respect issues, but its still a major flaw.

I wasn't saying it excuses him. Bakugo can be enjoyable to watch as a character but as a real person he would be awful and unlikable, and his little redeeming qualities wouldn't be enough. He's still a total ass. He was a bully to Deku for years just to confirm his ego. He needs to eat a lot of humble pie before he can actually be considered a decent human being.

I think that he just mostly has a poor attitude because of how he was raised. I wouldn't call it narcissism. I think he's just extremely competitive and that he hates being looked down on. I can understand those emotions as well.

Bakugo doesn't remember any of his classmates names, as shown earlier in the competition before the Calvary battle. The only ones he does know are Izuku, who he calls Deku out of spite, Uraraka after she put in effort, and maybe the dude with the Hardening Quirk. He has that high of an opinion on himself because he's been put on a pedestal by the people around him since he gained his Quirk (flashback when he and Izuku first went at it in the building with the fake bomb) and so he can only look down on them. That's the wrong mindset a hero should have, all things considered, because how can someone who looks down on everyone else relate to the people he's supposed to save?
That's why Izuku could coax out the best in Todoroki and Bakugo couldn't.

According to ANN, amazarashi will sing the anime's third opening, "Sora ni Utaeba" (If I Sing in the Sky), LiSA will preform the next ending, "Datte Atashi no Hero" (Still My Hero), and Gran Torino will be voiced by Kenichi Ogata.

Episode 13
Seems like a transition episode into the new arc. Hero names....ha, the ones I got the most laugh out of is Bakugo. He tried way too hard to look badass. Deku's hero nickname makes sense tbh and I'm glad he chose it. I'll look forward to the next arc in July since we're getting a week break.

Mmmm... that PV.... delightful.
Review for latest episode. Stain managed to cripple Iida's brother, but considering his body-count that could have easily have been fatal.

A great in between episode, plenty of foreshadowing. Everybody picking names and many of them were really so silly. I wish I knew of high schools that would have classes respectful enough for this kind of thing. All the classes I've been in and/or taught would have devolved into the kids just making silly names and teasing on bullying each other over them and we would have gotten nothing done, at least in presenting. They would instead have to just submit them on paper.
Many of the names were just ridiculous. "Can't stop shining"? "Grape Juice"? "Pinky?" all hilarious. Stupid, but hilarious. Froppy just sounds too much like "frumpy" to my ears and I just wouldn't want Tsu to have a name like that. Couldn't she just go with "Froggy"? When I heard Sero's name, my first thought went to that Broadway song from Chicago, "Mr. Cellophane", especially since Sero is so plain, many people ignore him. I honestly think acid girl would have been better with "Alien Queen" the Alien franchise really can't copyright that name or anything. Bakago's name was ridiculous, and he couldn't even realize that having the name "Murder" in his title would give everyone the wrong idea. Also, I'm sorry, dude, "Sugarman" that would give a lot of people the wrong idea. Don't come to the US with that name, people will think your everything from a "sugar daddy" to a child kidnapper. Midorya's "Deku" choice was expected, but great. I really liked it. I also had a feeling that someone from All Might's past would be the one to take Deku in and teach him, since he's probably going to need somebody other than simply All Might. And then there is the serious part of the episode. Seeing Iida get hit by all this inner turmoil and see how what happened to his brother basically broke him to the the point that he's taking a darker self-destructive path, just feels your hear with sorrow. You really dropped the ball here Izuku. You don't just not talk about things like this. I know this is part of Japanese culture about not talking about your problem in this manner, but it's not something I agree with. If someone is obviously hurting and yet hiding it, and you call yourself their close friend, you have a duty to address it. It's things like this that can cause horrible, self-destruction in people simply because someone didn't take the time to talk. Sometimes your words can be the matter between life and death. The excuse that "he didn't say anything to me" is unacceptable. I know you're a kid though Midoriya and you are just learning these things, but I really hope it's not too late. I have myself, always been an insightful person, and can almost always tell when something is wrong with someone else, especially someone close to me. Because of this, I have tons of practice on how to address all kinds of people in different situations, in different ways and do my best to help or at least to point them in a direction where they can get help. It was obvious Iida was going to have problems even before he came back. I hope whatever he gets himself into, won't completely crush to good kid we've come to know. He's already been scarred for life. Let's hope that's all it will stay. Stain has regained some of my enthusiasm. I still want to see him actually kill someone though. No destroying careers and no legendary reports. Though honestly for him to have cut Ingenium up to the point that he's paraplegic? That's actually darker than simply killing him. He must have impaled him or something and hit the spinal cord while doing it. Either that, or the shock and the swelling impacted the spine and caused nerve damage which would result in the same. It looks like next week we're getting some training, though I hope that's not the whole episode. I've never been a fan of training arcs that take too long.

Half of this week's episode was to wind things down after the sport festival, but then the second half started to raise the tension for the next arc already. I always like when we have characters foreshadowing tragedies by narrating something along the likes of "had i known what was going to happen back then..." |

The atmosphere changing hero is here! Froppy, Froppy, Froppy! Best part of the episode for me. That said, Deku officializing the name also put a big grin in my face
I was kinda fearing for this episode after the first one in the new season, but it was actually quite entertaining, and definetly did a much better job setting the upcoming events, at least as far as lida is concerned. Definetly looking forward to what's next. I thought it sounded more like rabbit to me, which is also cute, though clearly not the intended result. Sorry, Uraraka-chan. |

First of all, about Bakugou though, I don't mind his loud mouth or jerky attitude, it's quite fun to see anyway . HOWEVER, he immediately lost me when he burnt Deku's notebook in the 1st episode, he can be a jerk and talk trash all he wants, but deliberately causing unwarranted damage like is where I draw the line between "good" and "bad"
Tokoyami: "Tsukuyomi"...why am I not surprised? and yup, Tsuyu had to come in and save the day! No offence to Ochako, buit why is our frog girl not the main heroine again? Ylikes

Best code name choice was Froppy ImO. Her ability is more the kind of utilitarian ability that save peoples during disasters (natural or not) with her swimming, climbing, jumping, catching ability. She nailed it with an easy to remember, on point with both her appearance and ability, and easy to like name.
Uravity was clever, but lacks compared to Froppy due to what I wrote above. Uraraka is aiming at the same kind of hero as Froppy from what she says, yet her name while clever sounds more of the cool kind than the "likeable" kind. Still a good code name though. Pinky is a bit too simple but is not bad. Earphone Jack isn't a bad idea at all, cool name . Tsukuyomi, really? That's a heavy name to bear, man. Cool, but really heavy. Could easily be considered arrogant if not for his personality.
