Pathetic in the sense that he may have jumped the gun in desperation and made the situation worse.
In the latest chapter he had a slap mark on his face, and it was stated that a few pages were missing from the previous chapter, hence my assumption.

As far as I know it's still ongoing and more importantly it's still going nowhere. Personally I'd say it's not worth reading.
