There seems to be a lot of characters (and donuts?!)

Anyways, it's on the right track right now with a good story setup. The story felt a bit loose though but did match the overall theme/premise well. The episode escalated a bit at the end so I hope it can keep the momentum.

Shirobako's definitely a must watch for those who'd love to know what goes on behind the scenes of anime production, but for everyone else, I'm not sure if there's any hook I can recommend that will keep them coming back each week just to see if the animators make it through the grueling process of making anime.

It's almost like the Bakuman of making anime except there's absolutely no character work to speak of. The premiere solely describes how a normal day at an animation studio is like and how a single hitch gums up the works and stalls the entire production.

Anyway, I liked the first episode enough to see what happens next. Can they finish the fourth episode in time now that they're a man down?

I'm going to need a full character name/picture chart for this thing.
I barely recognize any of the girls in the first scenes, and then there's adult selfs. Let along, even caught any of their names.

Then we're introduced to like 20+ characters all with actual real sounding names within the first 7minutes , so I don't know who anyone is.

That being said, I am looking forward to just the production side of anime making.
