It's probably not the most bombastic first episode, but being the third season, I think Overlord's audience is established enough that it can get away with a first episode like this. Plus, it's kind of needed. It's a nice calm before the storm reintroduction, and watching the cast interact is always a treat.

Kinda had the feel of the bonus episodes about Pleades. Nice to see this, but a bit weird start for the first episode.

Also, the bicorn is sweet.

As for Ainz's libido, in one of the Pleades stories he states he has none, and even if he were to get excited by reflex/memory, he would get forcefully calmed down. Is it even possible for Elder Lich to reproduce? Well, he might be able to create a temporary body by magic, or something like that.

This episode's should relly be in an OVA instead, but the sight of hamsuki training with the DK is totally better than the novels.

Yup, plus 24 minutes is not enough to cover the whole volume 8. I guess the good about it will be focusing on vol 7 and 9 on the 12 episodes.

^ Hope for two things, the next episode is main plot and not more short stories (wouldn't mind another batch of them in the middle of season, but not two in the beginning) and no "lizardmen arc" this season.

I wonder why there was that mention about demons and humans not being able to breed, that seems an odd fact to just lay there if it didn't serve any purpose for the story.

Also I find it very ironic, because in D&D and all fantasy stories based on that humans are the creatures that apparently can breed with anything. You see half demons, half angels, half dragons, half ogre everywhere, but the other half is almost never "elf" or "dwarf" it's always "human".

I assume its meant to let the audience know that Demiurge has been experimenting with force breeding humans with monsters. Its a subtle way of letting us known that hes really evil. This is preferred to actually showing us something so horrific because this is actually a rather light hearted show. The downside is that its often a bit easy to forget that almost all the NPC in Nazarick are evil. REALLY evil.

Take for example Solution and her wish. No doubt what she wants is to torment and eat innocent humans because she is an evil slime after all.

Is that the official English name or something?

You can hear them pronouncing the "Tsu" in it. :P

Yes, its Tuare in the official English translation. The difference is probably down to Tsuare being easier to pronounce in Japanese but thats just a guess.
