Been playing guitar for about 5 or 6 years now. Used to play some other instruments back when I was a kid but I never enjoyed any of 'em near as much as the guitar. I own an acoustic/electric, but my real joy is my electric. It's so much fun! ^^

The only instrument I play is the piano. I started when I was eight or nine, but I stopped playing after about four years. However, I became enamored with classical music about nine months ago, and I started playing again. It's tough to regain technique after a prolonged absence, but I'm progressing rather well despite my lax practice schedule. So, I've been playing for a combined time of 5-6 years. On a side note, Prokofiev's Tocatta is an absolute bitch; it'll probably take me a year of hard, smart pratice to be able to even attempt it.

Well... my first instrument was the baritone (euphonium). I can also play the alto brass horn, french horn, and the bugle. I'm kind of lame but passable with the recorder, the guitar, and can pick out tunes on a piano but never qutie got that using both hands working right.

I play bass and have been for about... 2 or 3 and a half years? Heh I stopped playing for a few months but picked it up again a while ago and really got back in to it.
Problem is I can't write songs and don't really have anyone else to play with. I used to play with my brother but he's gonna be leaving soon... Hopefully I'll find someone else I can play with (gonna be going college in a few months) and make something of it when I'm older. |

I've played the violin for two years during my high school years before graduating. Nowadays, I have a strong wanting to learn how to play piano.
I didn't play the violin that good either, but it was the instrument that I felt that I was most tuned into (pun intended...? Maybe...) after playing the trumpet, the drum, clairinet, saxophone, and the guitar. Yeah, I tried a lot of things before I settled down. |

I play piano. I didn't have the luxury of being introduced to lessons as a child but I certainly think I've made up for lost time (as In, I've reached higher levels quite quickly in the time I have had lessons, which was ever since I got a job to pay for them). I'd like to learn the violin as well.

ahh!! i love this topic
i absolutely love playing the piano (my forte.. or so id like to think). i also play cello. it's a shame that i quit playing piano when i was 9. only played for a year. i picked it back up during the summer of my 8th grade... so it's been about 3 or 4 years? my mom always says that i shouldve kept playing- i would have been mindblowingly fantastic. ^^ but seriously. if you really love playing an instrument and want to improve quickly, it really happens. |

I used to play piano a bit. I can't read music but I taught myself a few things by ear as a kid (the first of which was Godiego's Monkey Magic -- when this was the ED in Lucky Star episode 8 I freaked out hearing the intro of it, and the dialogue of the girls was just awesome. ) and also played a bit of bass in my later teens. Nothing great, but I could do a few basic rhythms and such.
I miss music. Kind of which I'd had the opportunity to take music lessons. Always had instruments available given the musical nature of my family, but never had time/money (and honestly, patience) for lessons. |
