But then again, if the series does comes back somewhere down the road (not going to happen) you'll just pick it up again so... What are you dropping exactly ?

The author is not dead, but he is in terrible health. Taking a usual of 20 pills everyday and even simple stuff that don't have taste such as water have a bitter taste to him. There was also issues on the company he works for, so that is another reason why he hasn't been writing. If anyone expect this Novel to return soon, sadly the truth it is it won't happen. I've been waiting for Kaze no Stigma to return, 5 years later still nothing.

Author of kaze no stigma is dead, so it won't continue and I feel that IS won't continue as well. For some reason, I feel that a lot of LNs are never completed due to author's health, such as MM! Zero no Tsukaima and Kaze No Stigma. Thats why i got so excited when Shana was completed

Zero no Tsukaima is actually completed, it had a total of 20 volumes as well just finished its final anime season. Kaze no Stigma was very interesting, sadly the fact the author had died it won't continue nor will anyone try to revive the series as respect to the author.

I love this series despite the thick headed Protagonist. It had a lot of potential to become something as a high tier of the Manga, Novel, and Anime world. By the way Chaos, Kaze no Stigma had 12 volumes, but not translated.

So if Yumizuru is helping with fan works, it;s because there's a lot more $$$ in pocket available.

It's been concluded that the answer is no, he's probably focusing on the fan-oriented project.
There's only three things you can do 1. Waiting impatiently and hurt 2. Waiting patiently and not hoping too much 3. Forget it and think that it might as well dead Yes, I'm picking the second and STILL butthurt about it
