Shinozaki-san ki o ota shika ni!
I found this cute fun manga while browsing and I have to say it is pretty entertaining for a cute girls doing cute things in cute ways kind of manga.
Spoiler for description from baka-updates:
TBH I find the summary to be somewhat misleading. It seems to me that Shinozaki is much more of a weirdo than any character in the story by far. She just doesn't realize it and that's kind of what makes her cute. Even with her aversion to Otaku she's a very accepting and kind girl. In many way's she reminds me of a popular Tomoko from WataMote.

Oh man I'm so glad you made this thread, been meaning to do this for ages but same o same o lazy git within gets the better of me.
A great little read this one, probably my favorite otaku in making character I've seen, hell even then she kinda pushes past full blown otaku cause of the way she acts I wonder if this would end up as AkinaXKaede in the end but thats not really a top thought atm, enjoying the read till we get to that part Also rather enjoy the "heartwarming" brother and sister moments, yea sure she treats him like trash at times but he can handle it, he wouldn't be the pretty awesome big brother if he couldn't

As someone with an actual real life little sister, I loved the bro-sis portrayal.
My sister's not nearly as...dominant...so it's not the same, but the sibling touch strikes real, which, well, isn't typically the case in animu. If only she's also secretly a lesbian! :-( |

Yes YES! Following this, and glad someone made a thread for it.
One of the more hilarious aspects of this series is how Shinozaki wants to avoid being an otaku... Except that's exactly how she's seen as by her other classmates. Futile futile, it's all futile.

Yea I love the line, "I think you have something confused. Big brothers have no pride to begin with." for some reason he just felt like a buddha at that moment
Akina doesn't even realize that she is already past the point of no return as an Otaku weirdo.

This manga is getting better and better every chapter. I can't find anyone to even mildly dislike, and I applaud the mangaka's lack of any malice or condescension in the portrayal of misfits, fujoshi, lolicon otaku, large guys like the big bro, and even the exaggeratedly large and tough rival character like Hanayama. There's this complete lack of mean-spiritedness that is just simply charming.
Oh, highlights of the latest chapter: >Maids! Maids! Maids! >Pure Autumn looks like grown up Akina >Cooking Master Micchy >Hanayama makes everything hot-blooded and awesome >Butler Akina turning girls gay like the rainbow harem goddess she is >Butler Akina uses Charismatic Friendship Speech! It's super effective! For later developments, I want Akina to crash the posh school festival to see what Chigusa (childhood friend girl) and Hibari (cosplay ojou and Akina's alter ego) are up to. |

I really adore the humor of the manga it's pretty much my favorite manga due to it, it always has me laughing especially some of Akina's facial expression are just amazing . Akina and the fortune teller was probably my favorite part of the recent chapter it was just gold.

There is no such thing as a girl who hates BL.
Without exception, all girls are rotten... The difference lies only in whether or not their eyes are open. Koto, you must cast aside your preconceived notions. - Master I am euphoric. What an enlightening Kōan from a true Master of the Great Rotten Path. |

Saw this thread and decided to try it out... um yeah I can see a bit of similarity between Akina and Tomoko from WataMote. Even though they shared nothing in common, most of their problems has to do with their way of thinking and not something external. Oh, and there's also the part about being secretly lesbian.
Few characters called Akina a tsundere which is not far off but not exactly correct either since Akina's 100% dere-dere for Kaede and 200% tsun-tsun for the bro hence she technically not a tsundere, she's a TSUN;dere. The brother abusing doesn't bother me since it's supposed to be exaggerated for the sake of slapstick comedy even though I personally don't find them all that funny and I think this manga can live without it. |

Chp 25 was very amusing. I likd Koto, she was cute, and was extremely amusing. Everything she was exposed to in a week though.... Quite the level grinding there her master set up for her.
