Good fight, good pace, and good episode. I've become used to expecting a high quality of soul eater episodes.

I do think Tsubaki is growing as the series has gone on. Black Star's grand displays have allowed her to slowly come out of a shell without being overwhelmed. Do think putting her foot down during the fight against Asura though a single instance was important. Rather than letting the guy destroy himself by using the Fey Blade she just refused. Sure he went rogue after that, but not much a weapon can do at that point . While she won't ever be as loud as Black Star think she's slowly moving away from the little girl who simply nodded her head and shelved her own opinions.

That combined with Black Star's personal growth I think will make them a good pair in the end. At times they can be a couple of idiots, but all of it has made it a pairing I can get behind.

A good point. He'd just toss her in with the rest and she'd end up somewhere on the battlefield . Then as with this episode he'd vanish and she'd have to chase after him.

Finally watched the whole thing and so loving the Stein/Medusa moments there. GAH MIFUNE!! The fight was awesome. My hope is that Mifune will join the Shibusen staff one day, omg thatd be so cute!

Almost think that may be a possible result one day. Though curious if that would be before or after one more rematch with Black Star since I really think that is coming. First time winning with a good trick and Mifune going easy on him. Then losing with Mifune being much more serious.

Could almost forget the interesting Stein/Medusa moment after that fight .

We already saw her style... it's to stay 10 km away and snipe em before they know what's going on.

It's reasonable to assume that, like the other Death Scythes, she's capable of fighting on her own.

Its always a pleasure to watch Blackstar in action. His potential is so huge and he gets stronger I can see his fighting skills over time being equal to that of Stein but he has a long way to go. I expected him to lose to Mifune but damn that 12 sword attack was DAMN vicious for him to counter the Fey blade shows how huge a gap their is in their levels.

Stein is still struggling with lingering images of Medusa and it seems shes coming back next episode and Maka is still out of the game and none of the other students are even close to being able to put up a fight against so many powerful enemies. It seems every episode things looks even more grim for our hero's . I have to expect such high quality from Soul Eater now each episode makes your mouth water for more.

I am aware that we have seen far more of Black Star/Tsubaki than of the other two main pairs, but for now I think that both of them come nowhere near the power level of powered-up Tsubaki and Black Star.

Not that I really mind, since Tsubaki is love <3
