Damn, they totally butchered Kyrie/Rudolf vs Leviathan/Belphegor A shame, I was looking forward to that scene, too. First off, Kyrie's "You don't have nearly enough love or envy. Better luck next time, girl." was supposed to be delivered AFTER she shot Levi, not before, wasn't it? Unless I'm just remembering things wrong... And the whole duel trick where Rudolf gets Belph to stand in front of Eva was taken out completely... Totally ruined both of them imo. Though I guess they had a lot else to get into the episode, so maybe they didn't have time or something.

Probably stupid to bump this thread now, but I decided to watch episode 16 again and I noticed something I thought was a really nice time saving technique on DEEN's part. Pretty sure I can say this fully now since EP3 is over, and we know that Kyrie obviously suspected Hideyoshi and Eva when she suggested they go to the kitchen. They cut out a lot of the talk before that suggestion from the VN, that suspiciously hinted that Kyrie obviously had a hunch about something, but if you take a look at when Eva starts getting her headache again and Hideyoshi takes her off to their room and leaves, Kyrie stops and gives them a look as they walk away...I don't know, I thought this was really nice. It shows that she's not just arbitrarily deciding to go get food like I thought when I first saw the episode (since they cut out all that talk leading up to it), but watching it again and noticing that it felt really cool.
If only DEEN could make use of those little time saving techniques more often, it could help to incorporate some of the important emotions while at the same time not having to show a whole scene that could be considered more or less 'expendable' due to time constraints. Once you go back and know that Kyrie had suspected Hideyoshi with the whole cigarette butt thing, you can see that look as more than just a random closeup. I just thought I'd mention it, since DEEN praise is often few and far between, and I think it's good to praise them for doing something good just as much as bashing them for screwing stuff up. :P
