I've only seen pics for now. And I must say: CC has the strongest vagina ever.

I seen the OAV too and...well, I seen it like a 34 years old guy and in fact my opinion is different.

It's a half bullshit, looking all the time they used to do it, they could a entire anime episode at despite of a drama with 60 seconds of animated scenes.

I'm still amused by how people can be so surprised about the almost total lack of animation.

After watching the first trailer, I immediately understood this was mostly going to be yet another picture drama with only small animated scenes on the side.

They could make all picture drama without add the animation sequences.

I liked this event though it was teh total opossite of what i was expecting; I was expecting an over animated, but pretty boring ova ; but instead got a really fun picture drama, thankfully i got more used to picture dramaas because of princess lover so I did not freak out.

I can't believe they still can't be bothered to put some actual money on fully animating these things after the franchise has made them mountains of money. That's just plain lazy and cheapskate.

This OVA was just another cash cow for Sunrise and it worked even though it wasn't really animated.

Also here is the copies sold

Anything Geass with Lelouch in it will bring home the proverbial bacon for Sunrise so it's no surprise it made money even if it is just a semi-picture drama.

Now, what I'm waiting to see is how a show without Lelouch in it will do...vis a vie Akito.

Agree - But isn't that the whole point? Think the issue is mostly about mis-expectations. I hugely enjoyed it but again it's probably because i was aware of what to expect

Just saw it. Over the top, but fun and poked fun at itself. C. C. (as the Cheshire Cat; get it?) was such a troll when she was talking about Lelouch. Nina's freak outs and Kallen's hot blood were overexaggerated to ridiculous heights. When Villetta was complaining about Ohgi being a spineless tool as a husband, I was dying. Ditto the Spinzaku attack on Gino near the end.

I just finished watching this last night.

Yeeeah.
Looked like an acid trip gone terribly wrong.

Some parts were really funny, others just weird.
I did like the style of part picture-drama, part animation.
That was different and interesting.

Overall I'd give it a 3 out of 5.
Worth watching for the fun of it.

Are they going to make more episodes of this series?

It sold quite well so they might decide to make another fanservice OVA in the future. I really want them to animate the Queens/Kings novels that would be nice.

Or another storybook short like this one.

The "Kings/Queens" manga WOULD make a great tag along series!
Hell if they're going to milk it for what it's worth might as well animate these two too.
