The last few episodes felt like they could have been done in OVAs, so hopefully, they will have some relevance in the upcoming episodes.
Also, Veldora has been missing for quite awhile. I hope he gets released soon. If Shizue's not so nice student who left her (seen in episodes 0 this season and last real episode of last season) becomes a problem, I hope Veldora and Milim teaches the vengeful student a lesson.

So Rimuru is definitely the type of teacher who keeps his students on their toes, but I'm glad they've all passed and are moving on to the next step of their education, if it means Rimuru is done as their instructor
![]() But a bunch of manga as a gift? Rimuru sure knows how to deliver for the kids. And in the battle to read manga, Alice won ![]() Youm brings Myulan to Tempest, which is a lot quicker than I was expecting, and gives her the grand tour. She sees threats where we just seen normal Tempest business, but the genuineness and kindness of Youm and the rest of Tempest might just win her over ![]() Myulan once again has to demonstrate why you should never underestimate a pretty face as she owns Grucius (and inspires him to join Youm's party), even if she didn't want to get involved in either that or the fight with Hakurou. Luckily her unwillingness means she's the only one who didn't get a serious Hakurou beat down ![]() We can't introduce a new female character to Tempest without getting her naked and in a hot spring. And she and Shion bond over a shared desire to punish the boys for getting horny over Myulna ![]() The infamous Falmuth kindgdom is already making moves to take down Tempest, seeing them as an economic threat to Falmuth, and plan to incite a battle so that the church can declare them as sinners and demons to sick their equivalent of the templars at. Is that where Hinata comes in ![]() And the ones who will be inciting said incident is a new group of otherworlders, seemingly all Japanese, who appear to be (or think of themselves) as quite powerful...though their personalities aren't that great. We have the angry and battle-ready Shogo, the vain and possibly sadistic Kirara, and the guy with his eyes closed who has his eyes set on a revolution. They have no idea they're being pitted against someone who hails from the same nation they do ![]() All the while Clayman is plotting something, and Milim definitely doesn't seem happy. "Prelude to disaster" indeed ![]()

It seems that a real disaster will come but to be honest the only one who I see can bring disaster to tempest is milim, all those characters shown in this chapter look like a bunch of losers and can be rid of easily. Well let's see about that.

Youm and Myulan's relationship is progressing quickly, to the point where Myulan is giving Youm lap pillows and he's serious about wanting that to continue. It's just too bad that Clayman's already keened in on Myulan falling for Youm and is using that to further incentivize her to work for him
![]() These three reincarnated jerks...they see Tempest and their main takeaway is that the conditions are better than what they have in Falmuth like the selfish tools they are. I can't wait to see them all get beaten to the ground ![]() Why would Milim attack the Beast Kingdom? Did Clayman somehow manipulate or trick her into doing it? I'm not sure what his plan is with those refugees ![]() Poor Gobzo. First he gets framed for sexual assault and then Gobita reveals his absolute love for Shion in front of a bunch of people to save him. I mean, who can blame him, but still ![]() In comes Shuna and Shion into the fray! Shuna totally destroying Kirarara emotionally was so satisfying to watch ![]() Is it just me, or is Majin Myulan even hotter than normal Myulan ![]() Grucius catches on that Myulan is working for Clayman and is being manipulated into doing this, but the real person she didn't want to face comes in as Youm finds her as well. But even if it was under false pretenses, Youm did truly fall in love with Myulan, and that Myulan is as real to him as the Majin Myulan he sees before him. It was a truly heartfelt confession of love, it's just a shame that instead of stopping Myulan it ended up further committing her to cutting off Tempest because she sees it as the only way she and Youm can be together ![]() So not only do they have no way of reaching Rimuru, but their powers are being weakened as well, and they're completely boxed in. This doesn't look good for Tempest even if they'd normally clean these fools' clocks ![]()

God Myulan is an idiot. If you really love someone, maybe you should consider actually talking to them to figure out what they would really want rather than deciding for yourself. So the person ends up doing something that is totally against their loved one's wishes in the name of protecting them. I see that a lot in stories, I'm tired of it. Especially here because she's naive to think Clayman will actually let her go and leave Youm alone. I'd more expect him to murder him just to twist the knife in her later.
Also annoying since 90% of the time, the conflict gets resolved and the loved one being "protected" just hand waves the betrayal and everything is peachy. Oh, and I'm also fed up with the shounen battle trope of protag kicking ass, then protag runs into problem and starts getting in trouble, on verge of defeat, then either something changes the dynamic or reinforcements arrive and the day is saved. Why couldn't the three cocky pricks just get their ass handed to them, period? lol Like they have to slink away with their tails between their legs for massively underestimating the strength of Tempest. Also also, her idea of conflict instigation is a groping? Seriously? Freaking amateur hour lol |

Falmuth doesn't actually have the pretense they needed to attack since the three flunkies they sent are totally incompetent, so... why are they launching the attack already? I'll just chalk it up to Clayman pulling everyone's strings, which is probably what it is anyway.
Myulan's definitely an idiot. She should know better than to trust Clayman's word. It would have been better if Clayman could basically take over through the use of her heart and made her cast the spell against her will.

The problem is, from what I can tell, Clayman sees and hears everything Myulan does. That is how he knows that Myulan is in love. Imagine what happens if she actually talks to Youm. Clayman will do something right away. She is holding onto the hope that Clayman will keep his word, even if it is the slimmest of chances. P.S. That said, Clayman is such a pervert. If he sees and hears everything Myulan does, then he has already checked out the girls in the hot springs.

So, will we actually have real tension & stakes in this Tempest invasion or will this continue to be "everything will mostly work fine"-power fantasy?
Kinda want to see a real death/casualty of named side-characters (not like the dead-girl-walking Shizu) if the show really want to take things seriously.

Yeah, only took almost half the cour. I'm pretty sure they could have cut at least a third of this stuff and nothing would have been lost. I love slice of life so I was fine with it, but I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of viewers dropped the show. The kids' arc already wasn't that well received.

the problems is a lot of them is Season 1 materials... - Eurazania issues and How Tempest become Eurazania Allience along with showing Eurazania executive character ( one is semi-major ) - Dwargon hint on Farmuth hostility, estrabish proper political allience and Rimuru Ideal also show how naive Rimuru is as hint by Garzel and a bit vision on how important Tempest will be if their alliene go well ( trade route between major country ) - Myulan and her conflict which led to current chapter troubles |

Now we're finally caught up with the ending of season 1, but what ended as a slice-of-life recap turns into a suspenseful life-and-death battle for Rimuru and Tempest
![]() Is Hinata the titular "beauty?" Although more than her looks, her cold demeanor, dogged determination, and hatred of monsters is much more upfront as she comes after Rimuru for revenge for Shizu's "death" and because she hates monsters. And if that wasn't enough, she has a sword powerful enough to kill in seven hits and the ability to usurp abilities, making her one of Rimuru's most dangerous threats ![]() As if that wasn't enough, Rimuru's magic gets lessened and he loses access to Ranga, forcing him into probably one of the most serious fights he's been in since he reincarnated ![]() Poor, poor Tempest...forced into fighting with a handicap and then basically framed for a fight these idiots started, as Falmuth's knights ravage the city and kill innocent people just because they're "monsters." They're better be payback for this ![]() Rimuru and Hinata's fight has been teased since the Opening of season 1, so it was nice to finally get to see it and see Rimuru struggling for once (in more ways than one) ![]() So somehow Hinata got information that Rimuru "killed" Shizu and "claims" to be from Japan. I mean, who the heck knows about both of that? The only person I can think of is that other guy came to this world from Japan voiced by Natsuki Hanaea, but he seemed to understand what happened to Shizu when Rimuru explained to him ![]() Rimuru had to resort to Gluttony to beat Hinata just as she hit him with her final attack...did he end up devouring her ![]()
