I guess if you're more likely to stave off autoimmune diseases than you are to aid and abet cancer, you've done your job as a regulatory T cell.

Final episode is out

Peforin Cannon Punch! Not going to lie, that was an epic moment.

They really went all out in a war against Cancer. It's the type of finale I had expected with the body fighting against the Big Bad, aka Cancer. I gotta give props to the creators of this show to make the episode as epic as it can be. Kinda funny how Cancer reacted after that attack.

GG Cancer. A pretty cool finale imo. Shame this season 2 is a bit short but enjoyed it overall.

Not only did Ordinary Cell get the White Blood Cells as cavalry, but a legion of Good Bacteria brought in by Lactic Acid Bacteria !

So we get introduced to cute bacteria...groupies, more or less? Who jump ship from supporting the harmful bacteria to the good bacteria as soon as the tide turns. No wonder the White Blood Cells are quick to kick them out .

Daisuke Ono is an iconic Shonen seiyuu, of course one of his character has a secret hidden finishing move. Sure, said finishing move can easily be mispronounced as ladies underwear and was just a prank pulled on him by other T-Cells, but his earnestness and determination ends up making it real, and Regulatory-T-Cell respected his effort enough to bend out of the way .

I love NK Cell feeling so happy she managed to pull off the cool line she's been wanting to do .

Well, at least Regulatory-T-Cell finally realized Cancer was a bad guy, even if it took misreading his shirt to do so. I guess better late than never .

Cancer ends up overloading himself and can't fight against the combined might of the immune cells, and then of course White Blood Cell comes in for the finish and takes him out in a second. But Cancer is still expecting a reunion and rematch with his fated rival .

Ordinary Cell got to become a hero! It's just too bad this adventure has made him miss all his daily doses of oxygen .

What a nice way of ending things off with Red Blood Cell and White Blood Cell talking to each other and sending the other off back to work. And we end on one last Red Blood Cell scream and near-miss, but she's still got it .

Big bad is defeated once again, and peace is restored inside the body. That was another funny, informative, bloody, and cool season.

If I did not know any better I would thought this was the season finale. It really felt like one.

It IS the season finale

This season was only 8 episodes for some reason (not enough manga material?).

The manga is finished, and while I don't know how much of material is left at this point I suppose they don't want to end with the manga's final arc, the coronavirus.

So that WAS the final episode? I was thinking "This feels like the big finale", but there were only eight episodes. Hadn't realised it was such a short season.

That's weird, the site I use usually marks when an episode is a finale. Still a fun season though.

Bummer it was a short season. Definitely recommend this to biology students or kids who don't yet know what they want to be when they grow up. (Although outside of medicine/pharmacy/dental, they won't make as much money compared to those who study computer science, and even then, the CS graduates will have a leg up on life out of school).

Anyways, really sad it was only 8 episodes. Best part for me was when Memory T Cell did that Super Saiyan powerup, Street Fighter II V wind-up (when Ryu first does the hadoken) and epic punch (which Regulatory T Cell limbo avoided).

If only cancer was that easy to defeat. While the show is entertaining and takes some creative liberties, I hope it doesn't misconstrue what can really happen. There is definitely some virtue in having a healthy body and internal environment to help ward off the bad cells and germs.

Overall, I really liked the series. We didn't get as much of RBC and the Platelets as in season 1, but they were present at times. Loved all the new characters this season.

Killer T busting out the special move and the Lactic Acid Bacteria really helping out with the work load

8/10 Really just to short

I thought they were going to cover until the final manga chapter. Too bad we won’t see the final few chapters animated. I really wanted to see that disease covered.

Only up to episode 2, which was interesting. I work for one of the largest vaccine manufacturers in the world, so it was a bit weird to see an anime episode covering the impact of products we produce.

Well that's an odd moment. I was thinking "wow this is really feeling like a season finale I wonder what they'll do for the next few episodes." Never even noticed that this was only an 8 episode season .

Good finale though. Easily the most badass kill of the series with WBC finishing off the Cancer Cell. I half expected his head to clean come off with how smooth that attack looked. When the tide turned it turned in a hurry.

Only downside was that the RBC and Platelets didn't really matter to the episode. They did help reflect the changing tide in noticing the air clearing up. But could probably have cut them out of this and not lost any plot relevance. Would have lost a lot of cuteness though. Besides that though I did like how various factors lead to each other. Cell Boy getting those little guys where they belong in the end saved not only himself, but the body in general. It really was at the tip of a knife if the body was going to be completely overrun by cancer or not.

I still really like this show. It will be missed.

Behind, but just watched the Cytokine episode.

I need to go back and grab a screen cap of Macrophage dressing up a young NK cell. That was amazing.

I also like how the Macrophages were the only immune cells that didn't get compromising photos sown about. I wonder if the idea is they're so bloodthirsty (in a way) in the first place that it wouldn't matter to them. Tangentially related, I'd love to see a young Macrophage appearance like all the other cells have had.
