Tbh not like original art is very unique either. It just slightly grounded "moe" design. They probably just make it into more standard moe

That's true if you just look at the shapes of the characters faces and eyes, but there's a grittiness to the manga art that's alien to KyoAni. The closest they've come is probably the Haruhi movie and Hyouka. But normally they overlay the world with a romantic filter that makes even the low-rent apartment building from Chuu2 look nice.

My lack of faith in this is not KyoAni, it's Yamada Naoko, even with gorgeous visuals, if the plot or personalities of the main charas got messed up, it's a fail!! (for me).
Also, Tamako's Love Story wasn't that great, it only looks better BECAUSE THE SERIES WAS AWFULLY BAD!

PS: About rule 34, there's a lot of that since a year ago

I think they'll do the first volume of the manga, which is pretty much an expanded version of the one shot. That still leaves six volumes if they decide to follow up with a full series.

The change in the character designs that's bound to happen doesn't bother me so much as a possible change in the characters personalities, especially the girls.

Now who should voice Shoko, more like who shouldn't voice Shoko...HanaKana. >_>
