I'm going to stay out of the "Is Lulu alive or dead" debate for now, because there are three issues that I care about a lot more than that one.

1. Where was Sayoko during the end? I know she was in prison when Lulu was in power, so were a bunch of other people, and they were free afterwords. She was supposed to be filling in the maternal role on the orange farm with Jeremiah and Anya!

2. How did Suzaku survive Lancelot's destruction? Has that been explained?

And most importantly:

3. Somebody is taking care of Arthur, right? 'Cause, y'know, for him to just keep watch over Suzaku's empty grave would be sad on the level of the ending to Jurassic Bark.

Please C.C. was NOT crying because Lelouch didn't fulfill the contract. You really still think she still wants to die?

Spoiler for Gundam Seed:

This is a series where when someone dies they usually stay dead. There's no immortality or special powers....so considering in geass you don't necessarily stay dead when you "die", it's not impossible for Lelouch to actually be alive...

his point is that even if it seems someone couldn't survive he can be easily written back in

Exactly, besides Lelouch DID say "For I am Zero, who makes the impossible possible" and then proceeded to Geass GOD. If you can Geass God, you can come back from the dead.

Lelouch had a catchphrase?
He should have said it more often

I know I was joking. I'm quite satisfied with how Code Geass ended.

Several, but making the impossible possible was Mu's catchphrase.

Spoiler for Spoiler for Gundam Seed Destiny:

I will also point out that Gundam Seed Destiny was horribly written.

The Lancelot is positioned in such a way that the hatch isn't visible, and Suzaku has around ten seconds to release it and run like hell.

He only made a wish that benefitted the world of C greatly and in gratitude, Lelouch inherited V.V.'s code without knowing it.

Further proof of his abilities when he zigzagged through a hail of bullets.
