I could not find a thread for discussing this OVA series so I thought it could be interesting to have one. This is an older series so I could see it being moved there, but it is certainly 'new' to discuss it.

The tracker is here: http://www.animesuki.com/series.php/1247.html and it lists the first OVA of the series, I can't quite figure out if it is supposed to be "Harem" or "Harlem" (alternative title Slumking does not give me much insight into this). Watching the show might give me better insight.

As far as I can tell, nobody as subbed the other 2 OVAs Evil Town (88) and Hell's Wind (90). Apparently these have all had dubbed releases but according to Xris on the thread for the torrent submission they have expired: http://forums.animesuki.com/showthread.php?t=67455

The third OVA apparently focuses on Violence Jack, whereas the first 2 focus on other works of the creator. The first two apparently are about Devilman and Mazinger Z which have tracker pages for them here:

So, I hear this series is pretty gory and am hoping to hear some feedback from people who have seem it.

I'm not even sure if that's the cut or the uncut version. The 3 ovas were so gory that some scenes were left out of it when they were released in other regions.

If you're not a Go Nagai fan, I'd say skip it, and even if you are, the manga by Go Nagai is tons better (around 12 chapters have been scanlated). The good thing about it is that it's only 3 ovas long so it's not a big time investment. Itano also directed one of the ovas, and while he may be a terrific animator, he's rubbish at directing.

Well, we could always both read the manga and watch the anime

AnimeSuki only outlaws overt sex hentai, but guro/gore is okay right?

Saw the uncensored version of Slum King long time ago on a VHS from a friend. Man it had sex and alot of killing, very detailed to boot. It's pretty hard to come by a the other ova's which are uncensored.

Sorry but as I clearly mentioned only the licenses for the first two episodes have expired as the third is shown as licensed by nozomi/right stuf and has not expired.

Ah okay, so we can't look forward to Hell's Wind (no idea why you would only license the 3rd OVA in a series, maybe violence levels?) but possibly Evil Town some day, cool.
