@ Saintless, the town would collapse into a singularity created from that logic paradox.
@ Ganbaru, they have to milk it! Or at least buy the rights to it to prevent any other company from making a movie based on a game, no matter how shitty it is. Cause one of those companies might hit paydirt. (ie, someone makes a GTA movie that turns out to rival the Godfather - heaven forbid). Honestly though I'm struggling to think of boardgames here... Mousetrap? Monopoly (a wall street movie, maybe?), Game of Life (reality TV?), Cluedo (murder mystery movie? I think there is already a Cluedo movie actually), Dominos or Chess (an international spy/thriller/war movie, following some dastardly plot to collapse the governments of the world by some evil mastermind?)

That would be Castle Risk. It involved the generals, marshals, admirals, diplomats, and spies into the field of play. But the objective was the enemy castle (capital).
And it was only Europe.

If sony had half a brain they could do a nice animated D&D series, they have so much untapped potential with the Dark Sun, Ravenloft, Spelljammer, etc campaigns, but noooooo, they are going to waste more money in another flick that will be forgotten the day after the premiere. Hell, with that kind of movie they could do a 26 (at least) episode animated series of ALL of their campaign settings >_<

More like "YOU F***ING PIECE OF S**T!" kind of swearing, not the "I swear to ensure that I take all of SaintessHeart's supposed waifus and make them a part of my harem" kind of swearing. |

That is the problem with movies, it is hard to find someone talented and iterested in non-drama material, but with an animated TV series it should be easier, RPG is not something obscure and directing the father of all RPGs should have many studios battling it out to do it.
