She stopped at the center of the table, where two other IS pilots milled. The one in orange had her IS partially activated, and was floating upside down from the ceiling, as it was a habit of her's. The blue one was content to be humming a folk tune from her state.

"SHOOTING STAR!" The girl in green saluted, hand held over her face.

"SHOOTING STAR!!" replied the other two pilots in kind.

"What have we got?" said the first vigilante.

"Her." replied the second, pointing to a hologram displaying a detailed profile of the team's upcoming member.

The lead pilot smirked as the machine continued to spit out Karon's extraordinary academic record. "Damn Metro overachievers."

The third giggled. "That makes all of us, Sherry. It was a requirement to become a Foundation Representative."

"Aw chillax, Marina," the Australisian said. "I'd much prefer to take things easy. With her on our team, I feel pressured."

"So says the one holding the record for international SAT scores." Representative Malaya Chao Hokusui continued and uncrossed her arms. "Three Yggdra engines? That's reckless!"

"As expected of the Merlion-type," Sherry Westfield noted as she ran a hand through her locks. "I am more concerned about her as a person. The last Merlion pilot also had stats like these, but she buckled under fire, and we had to drop her at the last minute. That must have resulted in Three Diagram assigning us this hatchling who hasn't even flown the coup yet."

She came closer to the workstation and tapped a few links on the profile, bringing up several more test results. "We already know that the rogue forces are growing in gall, and anti-IS weapons are becoming commoner. Our intervention missions haven't been the steamroll like when we started, so whatever we learn at the Academy is next to useless now."

The team leader grew serious as she read the new charts. "Her psychometric status is excellent, but will she last in a real fight?"

Marina nodded. "She'll be a fine addition to our team."

"If the Merlion doesn't tear itself to pieces first," quipped Hokusui.

Added the rifle grenade. Screw it, without a drawing pad or scanner I can't draw out the schematics properly. It is named HELIX after its payload.



1. HELIX (High Energy Liquefied Ion eXplosive) Warhead with nanite detonator

When the grenade is fired, it is guided to its target. When it hits the shields or the target, it automatically triggers the primary charge which sprays the liquid ion explosive onto the shield, and being electrically charged, it sticks to the shield by electrical polarity. It is then fired by a nanite detonator in the warhead, resulting in a conventional blast wave that overloads the shields due to immense kinetic force and knocks the pilot backwards.

If the IS is caught with weak shields, the remaining blast wave will bypass the shields and shatter the pilot's bones. If the IS is without shields, the entire mech and pilot will be blown to bits by the immense blast wave.

Mechanism for firing guided grenades :

1. Attach and twistlock the grenade to the barrel, which automatically engages the rifle to SAFE.
2. Push the charging handle forward and flip down the notch (like the MP5 charging handle bolt holding notch at the back) to lock the fuze to the barrel.
3. Aim, lock on, and fire.
4. Remove the remaining fuze for recycle/disposal.

Note : The HELIX is banned from tournaments due to its destructive nature. They are put back on the production line after the appearance of robotic and rogue ISes.

Here are the temporary specs for MEISTER :

Caliber : 8x42mm (bullet x cartridge length)
Ammo types : AIS (HP* cartridge), Ball (MP* cartridge), Blanks, CO2 LP* cartridge paint (yes you heard it right, PAINT)
Firing Mechanism : Gauss action driven firing pin on conventional cartridges
Effective range : AIS - 2600m, Ball - 1300m, Paint - 200m, HELIX - 5500m
Magazine : 40 round quadstack STANAG.

Power from the LAD is routed to the barrel to fire the HELIX. Consequently, the electrified barrel can also be used as a non-lethal stungun in situations where lethal force is not permitted.

And consequently, Rachel uses it as an "anti-hentai" weapon against Ichika and Charles alongside the paint rounds.

LP = Low Pressure.

HP cartridges use a different primer and an explosive grade propellant, and since it isn't gas tap operated, no worries about gas pressures not cycling the next round in when chambering lower pressure cartridges.

I'd be more impressed if you would write it out. The premise is lazy as they come, but what the hey, if you're willing to put the effort to put concept to practice, hats off to you. On the other hand, the IS concept is kinda interesting. I wouldn't mind throwing Rheinhart against it for a fun cat and mouse game, until somebody gets cornered. Then, it'll be time to see who's the Manlier Man in a Dark Cloak (TM).

...Hell, I need some guest characters anyways. If you don't mind, I might just feature Alex in a IS League exhibition match, except since this is IS: For Answer-verse rules, he'd be using a Missing Number IS (namely your titled No. 98 "Belial" whose stats actually mesh well with typical Missing Number designs). Shoot, his profile practically screams LYNX anyways (Warning: he might be a little unhinged, and the onus is on you for picking a name like Belial), so at least he won't be a IS pilot for plot contrivance's sake.

No promises on who wins this doubles bout, but it will be fun.

IS Information: Thanks to the combined technology of the IS with NEXT tech. The Cepheil is a powered armored version of the TELLUS, a laser rifle and a back mounted laser cannon makes her a devastating adversary. The IS core is on loan by the British government and she has to pay out of her own company check to cover it's use.

While average in terms of statistics of an IS, it has several interesting highlights. One is the ability to combine the IS core reactor with kojima particle charging. This increases the output of the shield and weaponry but can give off harmful doses of Kojima Radiation so it is often discouraged in duels. Also for a ranged IS, Blanc loves to engage in close combat with her lasers, often taunting them before attacking with a blitz of laser shots.

The Kojima Particle driven energy boost combined with the IS however gives it many capabilities that can make it a "4th" Gen in theory. Thanks to the treaty however, it is a rarity to see it in use.

Interactions with the cast

She gets along well with everyone in the Academy, a big sister idol to act as a natural "block" against the new Ravens. She tries to keep the girls out of harms way against the new ravens. She however has a mutual dislike with Ichika, she thinks his ability to use IS is nothing more than "Subtle nepotism" and seeks to defeat him so women can firmly establish their place in the world. Hopefully with Interior Union in charge

I haven't been following what the heck is going on with the Mirror Universe, so you'll have to brief me about it. What is this League?

A Sinanju-IS would be a kind of red heavily-customized Rafale-type IS armed with standard equipment of rifle, bazooka and sword. Like the original, it depends on the pilot to be awesome, or a flop, since in Gundam terms pretty much everyone's IS is equipped with a "Psychocommu" system in terms of responsiveness.

That's why I said it's up to you to write it. It's a balanced machine, which would give it flexibility when going against specialists, but it involves plot, and is pilot-dependent.

Meanwhile, I realized I missed out a small note about mass-production models: they cannot be stored like personals. Maybe we could handwave it for more advanced MPIS. After all, canon seems to enjoy overly gimping the competition just so that the protagonists look good (when they're really really bad). With a good pilot, a 3G IS can surmount a 4G after all.

I ended the "how he gets into the plot" thing quite quickly because I was getting tired. I am currently working on an update for him. This char was originally intended to fit into the original storyline, but I've seen your fan-fic project and though "interesting", so I might right two complete bios for him. Will keep you guys updated.

The Night Fury's ( the black colored Sinanju type IS) primary advantage over the other IS is it's speed, agility and reaction times. But that is also it's greatest weakness because the intertia dampener for the suit isn't quite perfected yet. At maximum acceleration the pilot would experience up to 12-14Gs.

It has weak defensive capability because most of the power is diverted to the suit's powerful engines and thrusters. It doesn't matter how powerful an enemy weapon is if they can't hit you.

I do hope that the mention that he and she came from the Armored Core universe are left out. You can recreate the technology using IS after all. Even handwave removing the software bugs in an IS core allowing a male to pilot it, as long as he is kept hidden.

Otherwise, the Canon Universe is much less forgiving in terms of crossovers. I'm okay with shoutouts, but no more than that. Things that blatantly break the rules, like having giant mecha walk the Earth, interdimensional teleportation, invasions from the mirror universe into the canon universe, I'd rather they not happen. Or rather, they will be walled off into another alternate alternate universe that looks like the canon universe but its not The Canon Universe.

Kaji was a dead man. His platoon wiped out by insurgents, Gou fought hard to make it back to friendly territory. Along the way, he tried to help an old man escape the killzone, but the latter was already mortally wounded. The unknown person entrusted him a device that would get him out of this pinch, for a price of being robbed of his roots.

In desperation, he accepted.

The next thing he knew, he was right smack in another warzone, this one far fiercer and brutal than anything he had ever known. As he travelled this new place, Gou soon realized that he was no longer ‘home’ but in a twisted mirror image of his original world. Only by constantly fighting could he stay alive. It was painful and terrible, but he endured, so that he could one day find out how to return home.

It came too soon. Kaji realized that this world was corrupted by invaders from other parallel universes, and they now were attempting to breech into his world.

Kaji finally understood the old man’s warning. For Karon’s peace, Gou used the Decadriver and K-Touch to fight in this eternal conflict. He hopes to buy enough time for her slowly-awakening world to mature and defend herself. Only then will he return home.

Kaji does his best to remain unseen in the Canon Universe, but there are times when his sister almost catches on to him. Conversely, he is a prominent antagonist in the Mirror Universe. Known widely as the [Destroyer of Worlds], many factions have him under Kill-On-Sight orders. And rightly so; every time a group managed to transport across to another dimension, he would appear and completely wipe them out on both sides of the crossing. To that end, Kaji has committed many sins, and his price is that he must never meet his sister Karon, or the Canon Universe will be altered forever, and his fight all for nothing.

Named after a Mythical Bird of Philippine Lore, the 214-1-A1 Adarna is one of the last fully operational “Straight 1” IS units in the world - First Generation IS units who never underwent a major frame change or modification- unlike most that went through major modifications, frame changes or upgrades to either second or third generation. It is one of the last of the First Generation Units, sporting technologies and systems that some would consider of the Second or even the Third Generation. It is also one of the few recognized “Technology Demonstrator” IS, Units with capability to outfit multiple IS “Equalizer” modules and equipment without any major modification - giving rise to the rumors of the 20-equalizer-armed-IS and many other tales of fitting horror- infact; Tech Demonstrator IS are given first priority when new experimental weapons are released- just to prevent undue injuries.

Given the role the Adarna plays in IS development, it has powerful shielding, compared to even the most heaviest of Third Generation Defense-Profiled units. Asides from being able to equip almost the entire IS Arsenal, it is also bestowed with a Prototype Variable Frame Conversion Module, a piece of equipment that basically turns the usual powered armor form of the IS into a “Flight Form” that is able to somehow surpass even the latest Third Generation Air Superiority IS units- without the need for the extremely complex inertial dampeners most IS have- though the pilot cannot land on her two feet while in this mode.

But alas, even a Legend has it’s time of waning- as the unit now began to feel the pressure of the latest Third Generation Units, it was now the time to upgrade the old bird.

Spoiler for 1-A1 History:

The 1-A1 has a colourful history since it’s creation. Originally from Japan, Core 214, along with others, were given to the Testing Branch of a known IS Development Firm, which was located in the Philippines for cost and safety concerns. As IS development went on, a basic frame was built for the core and along with other “Tech Demonstrator” Cores, began testing various equipments and such. During the course of Frame Development, where Core 214 was assigned to, the idea of Variable Transformation was then a hot idea- apparently born out of a nostalgia marathon of some sort. Since they had no other core to fit this idea on asides from 214, they decided to outfit the core with the frame most people see today- since most of the Frame Development Team were of Philippine Nationality. The Variable Transformation was a huge success, but at a rather huge cost to the Team. It was decided that this idea would be in the long run, a costly endeavour to undertake and that IS pilots would not even use it- resulting in its scrapping.

The IS unit itself was spared from destruction as it was given to the Philippine Government- but with the hidden agreement that it unit would be available for Tech Demonstrations. And with that, the Philippine Government christened it “Adarna”, after the mythical 7-coloured bird whose songs put people to sleep and whose feces petrify them. The new Presidential Office of IS Representation was established- one of the first such offices in the world- and various local-based tech conglomerates got access to the unit, becoming it’s providers and such.

Soon after, a Nationwide search for its first National IS Representative came, with Estella Sanchez being the lucky one among millions of teenage girls- and just in time, as STRATOMAG, a Manila-based IS/Men’s Lifestyle Magazine and a few brave sponsors launched [Mondo Grosso], the global IS vs IS tournament. Unfortunately, Estella’s course in the tournament was cut down by none other than Chifuyu Orimura, the one who would become the First MG Champion- in one of the most epic battles in the history of MG, an 8-rounder extravaganza that lasted 3 hours- the battle that put the “Mondo” in [Mondo Grosso]. The Adarna, under other pilots continued its MG Appearances, though now falling short of the line Estella drew. As a Response to this, the IS unit was shipped to the IS Academy along with it’s current Representative Pilot, Maria Antonia Estevez. It is currently undergoing Frame Change and Upgrades.

Unfortunately, this was the schoolyear that Ichika Orimura, the kid brother of the Legendary Chifuyu, and the only XY-spec (Male) IS Pilot in the world.

Spoiler for 1-A1 Equipment Notes:

The 1-A1 Adarna, being a Tech Demonstrator, has equipped “Named” versions of standard IS Equipment- most of them being experimental during the time it was equipped.

“Hawkeye” Hyper-Sensor Suite: A base Hyper-Sensor model for all Second Generation and Early Third Generation models. Its later incarnations and variants has found more use in sniper and air superiority-type IS though, due to it’s locking and target prediction capability.

“Rainbow Fortress” Protection System: Considered one of the toughest First Generation IS Defense Systems, it combines a tough field and the IS’ speed to maximise defense. It does have a tendency to be weak against Barrier Void attacks- esp. coming from other First Gen and much more from the later generations of units. Though on a one-on-one basis without Voiding, though, no other system comes close. The indication that it is running is the constant rainbow color shift of the wings and tail.

“Valkyrie” Variable Transforming Frame: The centerpiece of the IS unit. It allows the shift from the “suit” IS units usually are, to the air superiority “flight form”- locking the arms, shrouding the legs in a “tail” and deploying a helmet over the pilot’s head. Certain weapons / equalizers are unusable in this mode. This feature was never implemented in other units due to cost and preference.

“Rainbow Wing” Twin Hybrid Swords: Found stored at the leading edge of the wings, these swords were the first that could combine two types of damage- barrier void and kinetic- as the barrier energy is used to coat the swords when executing. It’s name comes as a result of it’s most famed technique, shifting to flight form and using the wing-mounted swords to hit enemies in a supersonic slice.

“Cursed Songs” Sonic Emission Systems: A set of sonic emitters that enable the unit to project ranged attacks and disabling effects to the enemy- but due to the dispersion of sound waves in air, it only has a middle range of effectiveness. One of these “songs” is the the infamous “Lullaby”, whose hypnotizing tone can put any weak willed or unprotected soul into slumber- though it is a Barrier Cancel Attack.

“Petrifier” Variable Velocity Projectile Cannon: The only pure ranged weapon that is available as standard, this cannon can load up any kinds of ammo that can fit it’s 40mm barrel- from bullets to its standard ammo of special goo shells- that harden upon contact w/ the target/s. The shells can be launched at various velocities ranging from slow to very high- sometimes reaching ranges that can match with sniper-type IS.

Spoiler for 3-A1 Synopsis:

The Proposed 214-3-A1 Adarna is the culmination of years of IS research both locally and abroad, as well as the contributions of various personalities in and around the IS scene. As part of the “Demonstrator Revitalization Program”, the A-A1 wound undergo the shift towards the Third Generation, giving it a totally new frame, as well as “universal systems” that other Tech Demonstrators have, allowing them the wide range of armaments that they have the privilege of using. As of this moment, it is uncertain what this unit would have, of if the well-loved Variable Transformation System would be retained. Insider information tells of a new design that is new in the field of IS design, with less leg bulkiness and overall improvements, making the unit more like a powered suit than a powered armor. But as with all inside information it is not accurate as of the moment.

Only time would tell how this will add up.

I do hope that the mention that he and she came from the Armored Core universe are left out. You can recreate the technology using IS after all. Even handwave removing the software bugs in an IS core allowing a male to pilot it, as long as he is kept hidden.

Otherwise, the Canon Universe is much less forgiving in terms of crossovers. I'm okay with shoutouts, but no more than that. Things that blatantly break the rules, like having giant mecha walk the Earth, interdimensional teleportation, invasions from the mirror universe into the canon universe, I'd rather they not happen. Or rather, they will be walled off into another alternate alternate universe that looks like the canon universe but its not The Canon Universe.

Read my char bio carefully, his mecha is another IS, a higly retrofitted version of the Core N.98.
I've made no shoutouts to armored core (Because I believe that AC is in a universe of it's own. NO MEDDLING AC with other universes...), and am planning to stay on the "canon world" path, because interdimensional telportation and invasions from the mirror universe all belong to A.C.E's job... not mine.
