I've said "standard"? And it's not that each and every show they have animated is completely different, they have their own style in visual compartment, direction, storyboarding, etc. etc. So what I was expecting? Nothing really, I was planning to skip this show from the very beginning in reality... |

I was going to only check out the first episode (because I dislike the source material to begin with) and now thanks to it, I have to watch the second episode. Maybe it pissed some fans, but it do serves as a good way to get people into watching the second episode.
Though I'm sure they'll just do the first chapter of the manga next. |

Well , i don't care that it was filler episode .
It was good imo ^^ A show which turned to hell why not XD Rofl , the professor owned by the camera . Maybe it was slow but it was interesting . So , i guess that Mina and the others already know the guy who was in the interview . Did she was crying for real when he said that he doesn't believe to Vampire ? Well , i know who is he . Maybe , he lost his memories . |

Interesting first episode it got me hooked. of course I dont remember Mina ever commanding anyone to die in front of her in the manga without her stabbing them.
also NEED MORE DANCE WITH THE VAMPIRE MAIDS. LOL

An experiment in metafiction, and the attention to detail of the nonexistent variety program was nice. My love of metafiction is one of the few things on par with my love of music, so I'm not going to fault Shaft. They are one of my favorite studios.

bad first episode, the first part especially the "die" part was kinda cool tho
glad to see it's not from manga, because if the rest sux at least i can start reading it... and a question to the manga readers: are all vampire "true" forms this stupid ? i mean a lizard as a vampire... i like to think i am open minded but that is just silly |

Thing just looks so dumb. That's also what people on /a/ were talking about. Before airing: Who the hell's going to watch this shit with dumbass lolicon fanservice BS? After airing: Who the hell's going to watch this shit with no fanservice at all? Albeit this is incredibly hilarious, but I also find that there are 0 fanservice pretty interesting. The anti-gravity boob's there but I almost expected some sort of tentacles from the lizard. Was quite pleasantly surprised that it didn't happen. Last edited by Kunagisa; 2010-01-07 at 14:26. OK, that was ...different. I don't hate it, and it did compress a bit of the first tankōbon down and cut out a few threads that were probably going to have to go if this is going to run just 12-13 episodes. I would have liked to have seen it adhere closer to the source, but they did a fairly good job, and--lets face it--if they stick too close to the original, there's much less of a reason for a fan of the manga to watch it and no real surprises (ie: Urasawa Naoki's "Monster").
Spoiler for little twist:
