He has his goal, mastering all magic, which is prioritizes over... pretty much everything but his comrades' well-being. So, yes, romance is but a side-issue. For some girls he doesn't seem to see it, for some he just lets them be, but it's never focused so much that it turns annoying.

Age-wise... he has facettes of both his experienced, old self and the child self, as per usual for these relive-your-life things.

What else is there to say, really. The protagonist knows what he wants and he doesn't let others walk over him, but he's not the sociopathic murderer of everything looking at him the wrong way, either. He's pretty likeable like that.

He played by the rules of society. You don't kill that psychopath rogue police officer you just disabled, while another police officer is watching you, do you? And that he got nothing out of playing nice was wrong, too. He got off scot free for some transgressions of his own. As I said, it was a misunderstanding, on that reader's part.

anyone know what the differences between the three versions are, specifically the LN and WN? I've seen what's translated of the WN and manga. I can't help but feel that the best version of the story would be a mix. The WN has more detail, as expected. However, I really liked his dilemma about following his old self possibly leading to a different shade of misery and deciding that he would live a life of isolation anymore. It makes seeing him with Milly a lot more meaningful. So does anyone know how the WN and LN differ?

Yeah, give us the special force guy that tried to kill you and shut up, if you do so we will owrlook your going on the red light ower the street (of course we only guessed this and have no proof)... This part was still ok though, later he gets worse I was speaking mainly about the part on the insland.

Also, one of his annoying trait: it is clear from the writing style that the author is too young => The MC should have the "old" personality trait, but he seems like a 10-13 year boy trying to pretend he is old.

Milly borders on too dumb to live sometimes. Zeff...is kind of a dick, overall. I mean, knocking out Lydia, trying to strangle Claude for something she hasn't done yet (if ever). And I really do wish that the issue of Claude's brother was better handled than having Zeff need to step in like that and trying to resolve it with such a lackluster method.

anyone know if they ever have to deal with claude's brother again in the future? i am not satisfied as to how that arc ended. Years of emotional and physical abuse, and he gets off with just a public stripping? Really? That would have been like if hitler was punished by being forced to wear a bunny suit on tv. Embarrassing, sure, but far from a fitting punishment.

He ends up being sent to prison island for some reason I forget, there he meets the ex-organization mage dude that they fought in that one maze and they escape prison.

They end up on a different island the MC and crew were for a job and end up killing the brother. Though they thought they killed the other guy as well he supposedly escaped.

This was the series of events that lead to the MC going into coma for years.

Hmn, alphapolis manga 11 is out, Zeb seems way more emotional in the manga than in the web novel and it hasn't been played too badly. We also get to see Claude's nii-san at the end of the chap.

And me to drop this series. The sheer stupidity of it (and many other irritating things in this series) became unacceptable.

I read all there was to it before it was removed, not much changed, they were all like level 90+ and it started going HxH with them all hopping on boats to explore the outer world shit.

MC was still putting off relationships though very very slowly coming to accept harem. (in other words no progress til ending type series)

Technicality, it is 10-13 years who will act without care.
You want him to say shut up to the police.
And to make it worse, it's world police so no, you can't just run to different country and act as if nothing happened till you have enough power to go back to have your revenge.

And they are mage, so they can find you even if you try to hide, specially since you are still low level.

All that if he actually mange to kill him.
Since not all half dead MC can defeat people a lot stronger then them just because they are MC

MC just more realistic about his situation. Specially since he is not alone.
