Episode was fun and a bit painful. The show kind of pokes at truths but package it in a fun way.
However, it does feel like other shows, where most of the broadcasting time is spend arounding the music and band culture rather than the music itself, judging from the first episode. I like that bit, where they picked up a guitarist randomly off a play park. It is just like in real life, when looking for bandmates, you usually get like 100 guitar players applying...but maybe 1 drummer... |

Decent first episode. I can certainly feel for the girl. Life just kind of passed her by. Definitely feels like a person easy to feel some empathy for. She tried to set herself up to have people reach out, but couldn't gather the courage to go further than that. It did kind of work, but not exactly. And even when it did, she still had understandable struggles.
I do kind of hope that there is a bit more focus on the musical performances. Though I could see it just being a setting for the character interactions. Decent enough. Though I'll still put it behind the true Hitori Bocchi .

episode 1:
even the box she was hiding in got destroyed. the "forgive my arrogance" also made me laugh so hard. ok, this is acceptable. One more cgdct from this new season, fill my fun for these kind of shows. looking forward to next week.

It is fun watching this show. It is a bit educational as well, i.e on how performers book/pay to play at venues in japan, which is a constast to most western countries. Bocchi is adorable, I love the scences where she spaces out or speaks in her head, it is so relatable. Hopefully the shows carry on showing bits and pieces about the music scene in japan. |

Some people complained that they toned down some fancervice compared to the manga. Which is funny considering it is not some ecchi series.
Still like it. The comedy is good and the girls actully do something useful unlike certian light music club.

This does remind me of Watamote but with that Manga Time Kirara flavor. Its not bad but not that interesting either so I'll see how I feel after next week. I'm guessing the "guitarhero" reveal is going to take a while.
